Never been a huge fan of Brian's (notably cos of his days as Fergie's #2) ... but just watched his post matched interview and he is genuinely emotional about City, the fans and the players. I thought he might cry at one point.

And watching the highlights, City looked fluid, balanced and dynamic. (i know highlights never tell the whole story and Readings marking was shocking at times) but thats the best i've seen the lads play. Fast, slick passing, superb movement, Silva looks world class without to worry about Nasri playing around him.

Think a lot of credit should go to Kiddo, I have seen him as the shadow in Mancini's Trio over the last 3 years, but have to hold my hands up, beg for forgiveness and show Brian some respect cos he obviously has a great connection with the players and I think that showed in the game last night.

Whoever comes in .... think the wisest move first is to keep Brian as part of the coaching staff. Wouldn't have said that a week ago or a year ago, but now, think it's sensible in a week of chaos.

Hats off to you Brian. Well done!

Watched an online stream of the game last night and we played some good stuff at times. Also watched Kidd's interview on the OS and whilst I agree he appeared emotional, he also seemed to be quite naffed off with recent events. Got the impression everyone at the club (understandably) wants the season to be over now (hope they put in a decent shift against Norwich for us first though), and wouldn't be surprised if he's not with us next season. I think it would be a shame if he were to go however: would be good to have some continuity, he's a proud Manc and it would help whoever comes in as the new manager to have someone who knows the players that he has inherited.

Brian Kidd gave the V sign to someone next to me in the kippax, when I was a young, impressionable child.

I remember it vividly - he had chewed fingernails and long hair.

I was all set to become a respectful and balanced supporter, but KIdd's obscence gesture changed all that and turned me into the twat I am today.

From what some news reports say (Take it as you like) he does seem to play some part in the plans for the future. With coaches of all levels being removed, and even when it was set that Platt would be getting the axe as well, Kidd still seems to be a part of the future of the club.

Whilst there is obviously going to be many Mancini chants on Sunday I think Kiddo deserves a huge ...
"One Brian Kidd.... There's only one Brian Kidd"

"Some things in life are bad, they can really make you mad.
Other things just make you swear and curse.
When you're chewing on life's gristle, don't grumble, give a whistle.
And this'll help things turn out for the best...

And...always look on Brian's side of life (whistle) ... Always look on Brian's side of life (whistle)...

If life seems jolly rotten, there's something you've forgotten
And that's another title to win.
When you're feeling in the dumps, don't be United chumps,
Just purse your lips and whistle - that's the thing.

And...always look on Brian's side of life (whistle) ... Always look on Brian's side of life (whistle) ...

For life is quite absurd, and Webb's the final word,
You must always face the curtain with a win.
Forget about your sin - give the City fans a grin
Enjoy it - we are Man City anyhow.

So always look on Brian's side of life (whistle) ... Always look on Brian's side of life (whistle) ...

Old Trafford's a piece of shit, when you look at it.
Life's a laugh and Phil Jones' a joke, it's true.
You'll see it's all a show, keep 'em laughing as you go.
Just remember that the last laugh is with you.

And always look on Brian's side of life (whistle) ... Always look on Brian's side of life (whistle) ... always look on Brian's side of life (whistle) ... Always look on Brian's side of life (whistle) ...

David! You should float this past the 10 Downing Street Press Office before posting stuff like this!

Bad luck, there , mate. Being a twat can be difficult. I should know.
BK is a proper football person and we are lucky to have him.
And the same goes for you, too.
You lovely twat, you.

ZSP

you, sir , are a poet...!!

all monty python references welcome here

the difference between us and the Rags is the ability to see the funny side of the whole situation

Wasn't he quoted as saying why would I leave I am a manchester lad and wouldn't leave this club with no one else here.

IMO Kidd will be in a role with the Academy bringing the youth through.
