Tomorrow (Thursday) we'll be interviewing Mick McCarthy for the podcast about his time at City. Is there anything that we 100% need to ask him about his time at Maine Road?

Basically... any questions that relate to his City career?

goal v rags

ask if he can sing a rendition of Mick McCarthy Mick McCarthy na na na na na na

did he model his style on anyone? Mike Doyle, perhaps?

does he hate Keane as much as us?

Can you ask him , when he used to pull on the sky blue if mcfc did he ever dream that he would be telling Roy the put bull Keane to fuck right off...
Great comited player when he played, became a legend to me once he fucked Keane off ..
Watching him in the footballs funny moments over Xmas , ask him what was that twitch all about,,, also showed THAT giff of him and was I disappointed when one in the whole and two round the back (or what ever) didn't pop up

Loved big mick, hard as fuckin nails loved him even more when he fucked that twat keane off.
The FAI's obsession with getting Keane back on board with the irish team and the rag supporters over here pushing the agenda got McCarthy sacked from his job.
I never forgave them or Keane for the shabby way they treated Mick. Ask him has he. And congratulate him on how well he's doing at Ipswich.

I doubt it, when Mick played his last game for City the thug was only 15.

He always seems to have a good word for City fans, hope he gets Ipswich promoted.

Still remember his voice booming out at Maine Road when the crowd was quiet. Hard as nails and totally committed. Ask him who was his toughest opponent was.

And I bet he answers Billy Whitehurst

Didn't City sign Tony Grealish to play in that game. What was he like? What did the players think of that.
How would he rate our current defenders and defending?

And John Gidman

Mick popped in for a midweek afternoon pint in the Bulls head in handforth while playing for us, got chatting and having a banter with a group of about 10 of my mates, all 17/18 all city/utd at the time. They were getting on well and one of the lads jokingly told him that he did know he was shit, taking it like the Yorkshireman he is he flipped, told them he'd had enough and for the lot of em to get outside on the carpark now. They spent the next hour calming him down, buying him drinks and explaining to him that he had a match Saturday and needed to be in tip top condition

Maybe ask him what he had learned from his time at City that has influenced his own managerial style. Secondly, I'd be interested in knowing his thoughts on the media expression 'good Championship manager but not in the Premier League.' It's often trotted out and I'd like to hear his thoughts on it, why and where it comes from, and what ambitions he retains.

Barnsley Mick! I remember Colin Murray saying on tele that he shook Mick McCarthy's hand once and Mick had such a strong handshake that his arm was still shaking for about a minute afterwards.

Always liked McCarthy at City and his goal against the scum is probably one of the best headed goals I ever witnessed.
