Sorry but why are people turning there noses up at the current best player in world football? This player takes us to a new level bigger players will want to play for us! Bigger brands will want to sponsor us! More people will want to come snd watch us! And the most important thing is his goals as good as guarantee titles every year he's here! Not 1 club in the world would turn there noses up at him and nor should we and when he's ready we give him to new york!

His goals havent guaranteed Madrid the title every year. For me he may well win us games but we'd lose a lot of what we stand for in terms of how we act and represent ourselves. Thats more important to me.

If I just wanted to win no matter what I'd have a cupboard full of rag shirts (no new ones though).
Messi

I'm sorry but everyone keeps saying we need to sign world class players and here is 1 if we want to thought of in the same terms of as Madrid barca and bayern we have to sign these players! For me I want our club to be the biggest and best in the world and so do our owners!

No thanks, would you have taken Roy Keane?

Re: Manchester City players confident of bid for Cristiano R

Everytime he scored a goal for City a little bit of puke would enter my mouth from my stomach.

A self confessed lover of United in a blue shirt.

I'd rather not fucking bother.

It would be a bit of an ethical dilemna.

On the one hand, he's the second best player in the world and would improve us considerably. On the other hand, he's, well, Cristiano Ronaldo.

Luckily there's less than fuck all chance of it happening, so no need to fret about it.

He's 30, on the decline and would cost around £60m.

No thanks.

If we could get him for £20m then perhaps.

Another hasbeen coming for money only, no thanks, plenty of younger players out there that might nog be as good but will play for us for 7/8 years.

I dont get the obsession with signing players that have no longevity

Has been, lol.

IF we signed Ronaldo it would send shockwaves throughout world football and we would be THE biggest attraction in English football to the casual fan/tourist. Assuming he wanted to keep battling with Messi for Ballon D'or titles than he offers us a huge improvement on the pitch too. And probably the biggest reason for signing him would be so we could watch the absolute meltdown from rag fans worldwide. That alone would be worth any transfer fee we paid for him.

The only way I can see this happening is if our owner has done a deal for Madrid t agree to sell him only to use as part of him financing their new stadium. Is this plausible?

Mansour and Perez are business associates, this is known. How or if this extends to football is unclear, but it could explain why we never suffer Real Madrid's hostile attempts to take players from clubs. So if Real were open to selling Ronaldo and we did want him, their relationship could open the door. I wonder if Ronaldo would be interested though.

Don't think so. Sure I have heard it out of the horses mouth that he would never play for another English side. ( I know players often say this ) but from what I recall he did say it and wouldn't want to upset bacon face even though he has retired since.

Its a big fat no from me.

Apart from the rag history you only have to think back to the Madrid game at ours when he wasn't getting soft free kicks from the ref, thought he was going to cry.

Imagine how the refs deal with us....he'd be a red card waiting to happen for dissent every game........oh and he is a twat and much too raggy for my liking.

Never going to happen anyway, more chance if Messi and the biter from Barca in a joint deal than tranny in a City shirt.

Much as we all dislike the GPC he knew the best time to get rid of Beckham and the Tranny - just as their egos were starting to think they were bigger than the club.

No thanks.
