Is it my eyesight or is the default font size smaller? This is size 6.
So it does. Ignore me then, I am stupid.although the blue icon to the left of the thread title also indicates new posts too?

I think that comes up on the 'Alerts' link at the top right corner.I am still trying to work out how you get notified if you receive a pm?
Besides using ctrl+ is there any way to change the default font size?
I like it Ric, it does take a little getting used to for an old person like me but, as I'm using my iPad, because I'm on holiday, it will probably make more sense to me when I get home to my laptop & normal keyboard. Thank youUnfortunately, there's no option in your user preferences to change font size on a user by user basis. The default size for posts is 14px though, which is the same as previously.
Massive thanks to whoever sorted my talk talk problem out last night.I appreciate that some users don't like change, and that the new look isn't to everyone's tastes.
I should stress though that it isn't just change for the sake of it; overwhelmingly the biggest criticism we receive is that the site goes down during busy periods, which everyone finds frustrating.
That was because of the old forum software, which was no longer fit for purpose. The subsilver2 style that some miss was tied into that - if there was a subsilver2 style for the new forum I'd install it as an option.
Nothing is set in stone with regards the new design though, so any constructive criticism on how we can change things for the better, either in terms of design or functionality, are welcomed. Just saying "I don't like it" is less helpful though - please be specific with any criticism!

can hardly see this.sky blue instead of the grey bits, would make it look more like a City forum.
The grey just reminds me of all the old fogeys on here, it's like "sorry guys, I've changed it all so it's modern and cool, but don't worry, I've painted it grey to re-assure you".
