Anyone that thinks that the fA's bid for 2018 wasn't bent needs their head testing. England didn't play the game as well as Russia. Remember the Trinidad friendly which disappeared when it was announced? Hence were not going balls out for FIFA as certain "ambassadors" maybe implicated.

Off to get my head tested.

What was bent about it and where's the evidence? All we seem to have been accused of is over-enthusiastic lobbying.

Where we went wrong was bidding in the first place. FIFA were out to embarrass us from day one because our press were the only ones that have constantly been looking at FIFA's dodgy dealings. We should either joined in with the "game" and handed over the biggest bribes or we should have steered well clear. Going in with the best bid and nothing else was never going to work.
