Exactly .... if there is anything to find in the US they will find and expose it. Given the Salt Lake experience I doubt that the US involve themselves in wholesale bribery hence their bid for 2022 failed hence they are pissed off and hence they are going to sort it out - and old Chuck the schmuk is a US citizen who's involved - the US dollar is the currency involved and there may be US banks involved in moving the money about so the FBI will have the jurisdiction to " go get em" - like a western but with less shooting !

Maybe because time machines don't exist and it's too late to right those wrongs. Whereas these world cups that have yet to happen can still be taken away if it's proven that bribes were paid to get votes.

Regarding the FBI probe, I ask myself why is the USA so interested in all this...

About 10 years ago I spent a few years in Tennessee and all the kids around 10 yrs old , both girls and boys, were 'soccer' mad. This generation are going to hit 20 odd soon, and with the younger people behind them following on, I predict 'soccer' in the USA is going to go ballistic in the next 10-15 years. Some of our older Pros obviously think it as well, let alone the Sheik.

The US knows this and wants a level playing pitch on which to compete...that's why FIFA is being blown apart. They know the amount of sponsor money that is going to be flying around once it takes off and they don't want to be held ransom to FIFA. Good on 'em I say...this should have happened years ago but nobody else had the balls to do it.
 
Blatter says he will stay until his successor is elected.
Why?
If he were to die in office (not something I am hoping for) who would take his place or perhaps the FIFA executives would get a Ouija board to contact him in the afterlife.

Just read the transcript released of Blazers testimony so far. First off he's not a well man which may be an influence on how far he is prepared to reveal where the bodies are buried - could be he doesn't think he would go down for a long time if at all.

Secondly he appears to just want to tell all - starting at the beginning as far as he was involved right up to date - no wonder Blatter quit. He probably felt he had to say he'd stay until his successor was elected so he might get the lowdown on what was happening first - its likely Blatter won't get the luxury of staying around until he is ready to go - he may be forced out as Chuck spills his guts.

Well they run internatonal football and they make rules and then say if the leagues dont accept them they will banthe Iinyernational side which means the fa of he country exerts pressure on the leagues to do so. They are fucking wankers and I will actually cheer when Blatter finally pops it

"I and others on the FIFA executive committee agreed to accept bribes in conjunction with the selection of South Africa as the host nation for the 2010 World Cup," Blazer's testimony read. "I agreed with other persons in or around 1992 to facilitate the acceptance of a bribe in conjunction with the selection of the host nation for the 1998 World Cup."

He explicitly names South Africa but doesn't name France. Perhaps he was taking bribes from one of the losing bidders for 1998.
 
SKY news now showing a clip of Jack Warner stating that he is going to sing - this could be the tipping point.
