Khaldoon End Of Season Interview Thread

I reckon khaldoon has the odd look at the forums and if there was anything he would look in on it would be this thread.

Would he laugh at the bombast and insanity of a percentage of football fans, or feel exasperated that there is no vocabulary he can use which is simple enough to get through to all?

I'd say the former. A fucking "lame duck". You can't get ever communicate properly with a perception as simplistic and as jaundiced as that.

On the off chance you are looking in, Mr Chairman, most of us think this clown is an undercover United fan who pretends to be lovestruck by the previous manager.

How a man that loved Hughes, hated Mancini, loves Pellegrini and hates the family stand can question any one else about being a blue is just beyond satire.

Playing Fernando and Milner as a midfield 2 against Barcelona is not the actions of a proper, good or competent man, let alone manager.

You are going to have to get use to the idea that he is going to be our manager next season, no amount of you bleating on about past mistakes is going to change it, perhaps it's time to move on, just a thought but feel free to remain obsessed about him and your need to be seen as right

Thought I would start a new thread so that it is brought to peoples attention. I originally posted in the other thread but wasn't sure people would pick up on it.

thanks bluwes.......looking forward to hear part2 of his interview!!! cheers

It's not fair to judge him on today's standards. Things were different back then. A toupee like that would hardly have been noticed. Presumably because people's vision was a lot worse back then, due to Thatcher's twin policies of starving the north, and mandatory pollution for all schoolchildren.

So excited. Does anyone think will he change outfits for this one? Maybe even do his hair different?

Unfortunately I think you're right mate, we probably are stuck with him for another 12 months. Shame for the fans, players and the club, but we are where we are.

The only hope I'm clinging on to is that Bayern try to extend Pep's contract, he refuses and they sack him. Then we can appoint the man the club really want and we can put this whole Pellikeegan mess behind us.

Well at least he can be properly judged next season. No inherited team, no post successful season lack of motivation, no post World Cup fatigue. Resigned to him being here and hoping the end of season results are an indication.

I will go home and watch later. Sounds like he said we are all going downhill and the sheikh is bored now. Time to start flapping.

you know, watching the interview & listening to him speak about it, we really should be getting a lot more credit than we are currently. That CFA is completely revolutionary & not just teaches kids football but sets them up for all walks of life if they don't make it. Sure it'll take a few years for everything to kick into gear but my God.

Yep, Dismal and Britney Spears are past masters at it. Makes you wonder why they are tolerated. Just ignore them. It's the Talk Shite model unfortunately.

Just out of interest mate.
What were your views on pellegrini last year? You know, the year we won the double and scored 102 goals in the league. Did you rate him then or is it just recently you've decided not to like him??

Completely agree mate. In the era of Social Media it's the insecure loudmouths begging for attention that make all the noise. Katie Hopkins, Didsbury Dave et al.

I remember it well. I also remember a different board member had a spell of posting until he was 'outed" as being Khaldoon. He wasn't, but he was close. I also know another member of our senior management who reads all the time.

Haha, does this come from the "professional" who sits next to you.

@BillyShears
there are a couple of things in play at the mo
KAM is a class act, of that there is no doubt, and he does give rousing speeches that are appreciated by the vast majority of fans
personally i'm sanguine about City, the club, unlike the way i post on here
i'm a happy clapper very much in the sense that i know the club is in good hands and they don't set out for us to fail
this season was a disappointment, yet we still finished second and got out of the CL group again, yet some say it's disastrous, disastrous is going down at the hands of a fucking og to QPR and having to traipse the crumbling grounds of the old third division

the other point you have been making about mourinho is also very good
you may remember me saying a couple of years ago that we wouldn't have been following City through the 80s and 90s if all we were about was collecting trophies and it's no different now
we want swashbuckling football that makes you get out of your seat, or really skilful play that makes you smile and just say to yourself 'i'm glad i'm here'
roll on next year and a few more good days out with a game of football at the end
Totally agree, but as one of the "older mods" who was apparently "underwhelmed" (I wasn't, as I said, it was exactly what I expected), I don't really see the point of these interviews now. 5 years ago I did see the point, as not only was it was selling the club to the fans to increase club revenue, it was also selling us higher than we were actually worth to the footballers we needed, "bigging" us up all round if you like.

He doesn't need to do that now imho, so I think these interviews are a bit past their sell by date, I'd much prefer we got about our business efficiently, no need for a fanfare, that said, I didn't have any real issues with anything he did say either.

Summarising, and I don't see the point in over representing what he did say, the key points were....

MP isn't going anywhere (no surprise that).
Praise for our best players last season.
Thanks James you were a pro (but why ?).
Fuck off UEFA, you didn't hurt us, but we're still mates.
We'll buy and sell this summer (no shit sherlock).
and the youth aren't ready yet, but will come good eventually.

No mention of Vieira, who has been linked away, was a little surprising, maybe the club aren't bothered ?
