kovacic at 25m or sterling at 50m, I know which one I would rather have.
Which is better?

That is the only question you should be asking.

I've explained this many times before.

As a way of helping you make up your mind, you may also wish to ask which is home grown and won the golden boy award.

Kovacic has a better football brain and has more variation to his game.

Sterling is the player we need more though.

The point everyone is missing is, I want Sterling, I never said I did, just not for a laughable price. We are being buttf****d by Liverpool and it's only a matter of time until they give in. Forget bidding 50, stay at the same price and bid 40m.

The main point is that there is no real difference between 40-50mil:
We need him
They will spend it on shite
If/when we do sell him in the future we will get all our money back, probably more anyway

I'd rather put that 10m towards the Pogba deal. Imagine Sterling playing for us with a 50m price tag over his head, he will fail massively with all the added pressure.
But it's not your choice to make.

You have zero idea how much money we have to play with.

I'm gonna go out on a limb and trust the guys that have the books open in front of them.

Sit back and enjoy the show now

Would Chelsea pay 50m for Sterling? Would Utd? Would Arsenal?

No I don't think they would. Reason being is, he is not worth the money.

None of those clubs need Sterling as much as we do.

He's 20 years old, already starting and producing on a decent team in the best league in the world. Won the Golden Boy award in 2014 and is English. Of course he's going to go for £50m.

He has potential to be world class and we should pay whatever it takes.

So we buy sterling.

But if Kovacic is worth 25m, why should Sterling be worth 50m?

Rio and Alan Shearer have both expressed their views on this subject and quite frankly, I agree with them. Most pundits in the country would agree with me also. Daylight robbery 50m.

No one said he is worth more than Aguero.

And Aguero would go for less than £100m in today's market so I don't get your link.

Toni Kroos went for 25m... Gundogan will end up going for around 25m... Sterling isn't even as good as these 2, let alone double the price.
