to be fair the other 10 went missing in big games oh didn't Sterling score against Chelsea?

No idea to be honest, Just quoting the lad from work, which was well before Sterling was looking at leaving so its not bitterness.

Even so, he's excellent at breaking through defences and can feed Aguero/Bony so still a good buy if we get him, not 50m worth but we need the Home grown quota.

Is it just me who has not seen any of these traits. Seems level headed seen as he was deciding big premierleague games at the age of 18. Name me one player who has done that possibly since shrek?

No, I'm with you. Seems like some of these guys have fallen for Rodgers and the rest of the bindippers' character assassination.

Totally agree, he seems a decent guy. The only issue I had/have with him is he does tend to go down rather easy but hopefully Aguero will show him how its done.

Just read an interview with the football genius that was Paul Parker saying Sterling shouldn't join city as it would be a "mistake" he also said this

"as a young player there is only one club you should want to be playing for, and that’s Liverpool because of what they have achieved and what they are, and if you do go on to succeed there, the status that will give a player."

The fucker wishes it was still 1990. hahah we've turned football in this country on its head haven't we. The old sky 4 are gutted.

So this may be bollocks but Dan2153 on skysports rumour mill is saying amoung other things sterling is a done deal just negotiating personal terms

If Liverpool are to be believed (personal choice) they are continuing to brief there is no improved offer on the table for Sterling as of today.

Which makes it highly unlikely he is one of the two names expected in at some point during the course of tomorrow.

I have said Pogba would be a real stretch, tomorrow, just from what info I have at this time.

Of course, things can develop very quickly, but it just seems a tad optimistic based on what I was told earlier today?

Sure, it could be Delph and one other, but this is why I hate passing on timelines from other people.

Let's hope I am wrong, or right, if you know what I mean!
Fucksake how long is this sterling deal going to last. It will be delph and Roberts which is nothing to get excited about.

We definitely have not submitted an improved offer to Liverpool, or one they deem acceptable, if he's begun pre-season training with them. No way would we allow our asset we are spending 70+m on (wages included that we would be committing) to run around with another team risking injury.

Wtf why haven't we made an improved bid for Sterling yet? What are we waiting for?

They have spent the money that they think we will pay, perhaps. They will at least need to recoup some of that, so maybe we are making them wait and accept our latest offer, instead of us increasing to £50m?

Complete and utter guesswork.

Would expect he'll continue to train with them until a deal is done.

Pulling him out of training weakens their bargaining position enormously.

I agree, I'm just responding to those who think the transfer is all but done. If he's training with them obviously they have not received the offer they think is necessary to sell. And if we end up paying the 50m anyway and waiting until August to complete, it's just been a waste of a pre-season and bedding in period. Hopefully we go back in sooner rather than later.

If Milner were 25 again I am sure he'd join us all over again!
He joined at the right time, he left at the right time!
He can't have any regrets in joining us, he won an FA cup, League cup, 2 titles and got to play some of the biggest and best sides in Europe.
Milner knows the score!!

Yeah but its human nature to keep in best players company. Anyways just hope this deal goes through before we leave for Aussie.
