Look we all know if say the rags took Kolorov ( sorry no disrespect) we'd just get on with it and hate him. if they took say silva it would be an uproar. That's exactly what is happening here, Liverpool fans know they are losing one of their best players to a rival and it hurts.

Nope he did'nt which was interesting by it's omission.

So £20-30m over? The fee was £44+ add ons. Lets work in the mid range of what we've supposedly overpaid, £25m. So by my basic maths 25 subtracted from 44 is 19.

I really don't understand what the fuss is about for a player who is worth, buy their own admission £19m? The same player that was allegedly poisonous, a bad influence in the dressing room and they wanted to see the back of?

Also if we are £billions deep, why would we squirm? Oh yeah. Our owner will have one less Veyron to nip down to Greggs for his baked bean pastie. Shall we all do a collection at the first home game as he's on his uppers.

Perhaps everyone should calm down.

Genuinely couldn't have hoped for a better signing this summer, everything we needed and more. The tactical and strategical options his pace, movement and dribbling ability will bring could give us a real chance against the big Champions League teams. If we can add De Bruyne and Pogba then I don't see another team better on paper, lets just hope it all clicks into place quickly once the season starts.
 
Why's the press so negative with us signing him?
He's one the finest youngsters in the world and we've paid what his talent commands bit yet it feels like we've signed Townsend for £49m.

Hello mid 30's Liverpool fan here.

Decided for the new season to sign up for all the teams in the league's message boards and chat prior to playing them and after as well.

Firstly for the record I think you've probably made a good signing with sterling. So we will see how it goes

I'm making a jump on the new season and staring north west so I'm on the Everton board and waiting the green light for United and I'll move on from there

Can I be very honest

I just don't get the hate..I mean I get it on match day..I go mental during those 90 minutes but after that it's just about a beer and a lagh (I've had this conversation with some Liverpool fans as well)

I love football I thinks it's so good it's almost an art at time and my little girl is interested.

I'm not naive..I've done more fucking than fighting but I get how it works on match day having said that I'm not an Internet user until recently but I find the aggressiveness and the use of the word '****' to describe opposition fans to be strange. (I repeat this is not a city bashing exercise I've pulled up Liverpool fans for similar)

Love the competition..love the rivalry..love the bite...not sure I get the hate

Any way I wish you a terrible season lol
