Do they really have to try and make more money out of us so they can get their safety certificate though? I know it's only £3 but still
All the money goes to City in the community. The reason they are hanging is because from past experience, when they have given away free tickets. People haven't bothered to turn up.

The reason they're charging the £3 (and giving out 100 points too remember points-bitches) is to give fans an incentive to turn up on the night - the thinking being that if they just gave them away they'd get lots of people saying yeah yeah we'll come and then not bothering (because they have nothing invested in it) - its a way of trying to ensure they get the numbers they need - I can see every man and his dog from the club, local schools, scooped off the street for this, even Khaldoon will be sat in the third tier if it needs it.

And don't forget, £3 for 100 points - that's as much as you'd get with five away games isn't it?

EDIT: cyclops good point - all the proceeds are going to CTIC, Alex Williams made this very clear yesterday

They are starting to give them away now but require a firm commitment to attend. Free tickets are available through Supporters club but for me any branch that let's them down should be banished from priority ticketing for away games

It's 100 citizens points isn't it? Not ticket points

How far we've come over the last few years.

Those junior prices are disgraceful
When I was a kid in the 90s, I used to wash me Dad's work vans and sweep up the saw dust in his workshop and he'd pay me some spends for it and I'd be able to afford a match ticket. How the fuck do kids afford to buy tickets nowadays? They must go door-to-door washing cars and cleaning houses after school every single day.

Has anybody else noticed the additional steps placed under the seats? clearly visible on the photos from cyclops (bottom left corner) checking on the 3d viewer they are also visible
Block 101 seats 8-21
Block 114 seats 368-379
Block 115 seat 405 through to block 116 seat 422
Block 117 seat 449-460
Possible other locations as well

Guess this is for exit routes when stadium is configured for concerts?

Extra height in the singing section :)

Its not going to be pleasant in those seats during a game- broken ankles?

I'm an old Maine Rd stalwart and i'v put on here a few times my views on the Etihad, yes it's a magnificent buiding, yes it's modern and yes it's the future but those photos say everything about the place....soulless, sorry I know I will get pelters for saying that but there you go, give me the run down Kippax any time

I agree very soulless

Tell me any one moment that beat this at Maine Road?

Its all about the longevity, this place is amazing! I moved home back in 2008 thought it was the most stupid thing I have ever done, I was so wrong.

I dont agree with the word 'soulless' about the stadium. What gives a place it's soul? It's all about the fans, the real essence of a building. If the fans have changed, which they clearly have, then this will change the soul of the place.

And as for the title win, I agree nothing ever happened at Maine Road like that.

It would be helpful if the club told us how many tickets they have sold for the training session. You know, people have got better things to do on a Weds evening than watch a glorified kick about, If they are short of numbers i'd certainly make the effort.
They shouldn't be charging £3 in my view, it should be free, then it'd definitely be full, not that I'd be travelling 350 miles round trip for a training session anyway.

fook it I would probably have done it for a tenner - the club need us for this - at this rate you misery guts are gonna result in there being a load of empty seats for Chelsea...

3£ isn't a deal breaker its less than the cost of a pint but I thought initially that it might just motivate ticket holders to definitely turn up on the night and the club to have prior knowledge of how many to expect. But I now think my own reasoning argues against itself. If 3£ isn't that significant then possibly on a wet Wednesday ticket holders could still decide not to bother. The club might have been better going for a free and massive turnout which if some changed their mind about going that they would still be sufficient for the certificate. Having said all that I will go as the chaos and embarrassment for the club if we don't get the certificate would be enormous.
