I can confirm that the fish, chips and mushy peas served in the new Aguero 93:20 bar were excellent!!.

I've always wondered about this... and it's a similar situation at the MEN Arena (as was) -

There must be an angle / pitch that's deemed 'safe' for steps, but I can't help think of such steep inclines as a potential deathtrap if someone fell down them.
I assume they don't to put any barriers in the way to avoid hindering evacuation, but that's a lot of steps to tumble down.
must never exceed 30 degrees.

According to Simon Inglis' 1985 book Football Grounds of England & Wales, the maximum legal angle of rake under the Safety of Sports Grounds Act is 30 degrees. Although the large single level at one end of the Millennium Stadium looks to be quite steep it's actually an optical illusion. The same effect appears to be evident from the pictures posted on here. Each deck (a tier is actually a vertical row of seats from top to bottom) is allowed to be steeper than the one below but the highest must never exceed30 degrees. The first English ground to have a triple-decker stand was Goodison in the early 1970s and until Leeds redeveloped the Lowfields Road stand in the 90s Chelsea's East Stand (completed in 1974) was the biggest. United's North stand (now named after Fungus) is now the biggest (well, at least until the East and Colin Bell stands get the makeover treatment).

Well done to all those who went along tonight, especially those who posted - or about to post (JRB of course ;O) ) - pictures from inside and outside. It seems just a few minor bits need to be completed but by October it will be 100% completed. All good things are surely worth the wait, yes?

OK a few pictures from tonight...

So we were lucky enough to have 93:20 Premium Seats in Block 222 which meant entry up the SW spiral Entrance R, queue was reasonably short - anyone going in through the South Stand spiral staircases were in for long wait - more to follow on that - gates opened at 5.55pm

Downspouts were in but the holes they drop into were not finished - a JCB like machine had to negotiate the crowds with an un-hi-vis-vested banksman - h&s nightmare

So we made our way up to L2 and headed street for the 93:20 bar - the view out of the window showed th ridiculous queues into the south stand - there were still people queuing 30 minutes after gates opened - apparently there were problems with the turnstiles at N and further round the doors had been left locked by workmen who had gone home and the padlocks were cut off with boltcutters - typical city

93:20 area - SW bar - there are three areas and bars - 14 staff were in this one on beer/food discounted, plenty of room marvellous

The Red Team Leader Call and evacuation test - by this time there were about 30 staff and me and my three mates left as supporters in this area. We had a god old chat with staff - apparently the expansion was only signed off at 7AM this morning ready for prep for tonight - after this photo we were escorted out down a set of stairs through what looked like the main corporate entrance to the Legends Lounge

Interesting, but it's the length of the steps too. 30 degrees for 10 feet is one thing, but 30 degrees for 50 feet is a hell of a lot of steps to fall down!

Looks fantastic inside, hope it's the same for away fans - just to make them realise what they are dealing with!

Those temporary drain pipes would have been better cylindrical and decorated / disguised as pillars or something, but since they're only temporary I don't suppose it's a huge deal.
That last image looks great too.

Not a bad job they've done there all in all. Wonder if they can do something with my back garden!

I've got a season ticket on row pp -'you can see the city sky line you're that high
You're welcome to that - I'm starting saving for two years time when I hope the North Stand will be done and us in 201 get our on 93:20 bar - it's a lot of cash extra but I think it's going to be worth it for the extra space and lack of queues - I for one would abandon upstairs at Mary D's before the game for this.

I'm not sure whether it's too high mate - don't get me wrong it's a great view but you feel so far away from it

Still appeared to be a few cosmetic things that need sorting out e.g yellow tape on the leading edges of the stairs going up to block 315 in Level 3 from entrance M1 where I went in. Presumably these will be painted in due course. Also looked to me like a few more panels need to go into the stairwells towards the exterior of the stand to fully segregate the home & away fans. Food & drinks queues were ok early on but we're rammed at half-time so no change there!

Despite the repeated requests throughout by Danny & Nat asking people to remain in their seats in Level 3 at the end of the training session for 5 minutes until being told to leave as part of the test evacuation process plenty left before which pissed me off a bit.The evacuation seemed to go ok though from what I could see though so fingers crossed they get a safety certificate pass. I'm sure there would have been teething problems with a few things but I didn't hear or see anything of note.

If you're in block 315, row D seat 388 you've got a great seat.

People leaving early pissed you off, get used to it mate

So the screens are in...
ahhhh... no. And they won't be either I don't think until north stand work starts

and it pissed me off too watching people outside the ground leaving early from my vantage point in 93:20
and because of this we were outnumbered literally 10 to 1 by staff by the time it got to evac time...

oh right sorry just looked at a glance and got the wrong end! ;-).

Screens are either side of the North stand, expansion of the North has been put back at least one year
