Was just hoping they wouldn't look so crap. It looks as though someone made a nice little model stadium, but then a kid accidentally broke the corners and tried to cover their mistake up with a bit of glue and a bent piece of card and made a proper shit job of it.

A few Meccano sets for Christmas there. Note the fire escapes on the ends, so they can get out quickly when City are winning 1-6

It will take some quality engineering to get those sides done. The spirals are a huge obstacle and the fact that they help support the cable net for the roof makes it all the more daunting.

I suppose at the time of development the original cable net will only be supporting the sides.

On one the images somebody posted the spirals end-up being semi-countersunk (so to speak) into the sides of the building.

Do you have a link to this image? I did scroll back a fair way to try to find it, but I couldn't find anything.

No they are not.

The work is not finished yet and they dont look shit at all. What the heck did you expect/want it to look like?

Not moaning mate. They're a topic of conversation so I'll pass comment and the truth is they look really shit. As I've also said a couple of pages back - I don't really give a fuck about them, but there's no getting away from it and whilst we're on the subject - they're crap

I get what you mean, it certainly has a temporary look to it. I hope it is and we continue to grow the stadium and get the East and West stands sweeping round to meet the South stand and get the rest externally looking like the SS. I've thought the outside of the stadium has been underwhelming for some time. The new awesome south stand shows it up even more now.

Havent Vittese Arnhem had that for about 15 years

and Shalke 04. The pitch comes in from under the end stand also Then the outside bit doubles as a car park on match days.

It was a real hive of activity, most of the glass panels in place on the third tier and guys all over the place
