Post match thread - City v Chelsea

The DT had a composite team this morning of City and CFC players. We had Joe Hart and Vinny, the rest of the back four were CFC! Well, on that performance was there one Chelsea player who would have made the eleven by the end of the game? Not one! And I know Jose comes on this site now and again as does Fabregarse! A bit of advice to both: Jose, if yer players tried to stay on their feet a bit more they would be much better, and Cesc, we would have whipped yer today even if you'd have had fifteen on the pitch!!!!

Do they? How do you know that, if you don't mind me asking.

Yeah, think we've got this one covered boys and girls. We're doing everything I expected and more so far.
By the first of September it'll be impossible for the rest of the football world not to sit up and take notice. City are back.

That ugly face costa is a real thug...should never be on football pitch.

I find it staggering that after a few goals early on last season, pundits and fans were bigging him up as better than or least equal to Aguero. Costa isn't fit to sniff his Aguero's farts. Almost every time he gets the ball he is looking to fall over and win a free kick. When Aguero gets it he tries to score.

My one bugbear. If the ref overules the linesman over a throw in decision, shouldnt the team that benefits be prevented from taking a quick throw? We had two players out of the game because they believed we had been given the throw in

Great post.

Only thing I would add; we looked organised and strong when facing a set play today and against West Brom.

Last season I felt we would concede every time.
Its amazing what a change in tactics can bring about. Like you say we've gone from looking like conceding every time a team attacked or whenever we faced a set piece, to looking like we're back to our dominant best just by fortifying the midfield thus protecting our defenders.

I'm optimistic that the gloom and doom of last season will hopefully become a distant memory. I particularly like the way Pellegrini brought on MDM to see us over the line. Mourinho looked gutted that a superior team used his own tactics against him to bring home the bacon. He still couldn't bring himself to give our performance the credit it deserved. He looked a right dick saying we won the first half but Chelsea were the better team in the 2nd half. Hello; we won the first half 1-0 and won the 2nd 2-0! We were ahead and in control of the match, so the onus was on Chelsea to take the game to us. Mourinho's a prized berk.....

What a day.. we look right up for it this season and everyone was brilliant today.

Well done to Pellers too as I know how much he'll love getting one over that wanker.

We do look up for it. It is very good to see after last years half hearted at times efforts.

If Kompany, Toure, Silva and Aguero stay fit and stay in form, there is no one to touch us. Managers will be shitting themselves after watching that today.
