don't know if anyone has mentioned this but we are going to be playing against denis suarez. Will be great to see him play
I hate to break it to you too :D but that's exactly what I said. They had to avoid so many clubs and yet finish with piss poor group and we and Arsenal as well always get strong groups while avoidingother English clubs and deal with TV pairing. And it's not first time, Atletico is lucky as fuck.
Last year they had Juventus, Olympiakos and Malmo. Year before Zenit, Porto and Austria Wien. And this year Benfica, Galatasaray and Astana.
Now compare that with our groups :P
But it balances itself out because they seem to always get hard knockout games. Don't know why you are moaning about atleti's group though when it's chelsea who always have the easy groups
Need to look at bigger picture, qualifying hasn't been a problem. Winning our group has and this gives us our best chance yet as these will all take points off one another.
Sevilla anthem is awesome:
THIS WITH BELLS ON!no Barca, No Bayern, no Real.........I'm happy with this group! Juve are not the same team as last season and I think we can beat the other teams in our group...Solid group but confident....we'll get past it! Come on Bluessss!!!!!
Can see that argument, however it proves an ability to win, and win well, in Europe. Plus, when you're in the same league as Barca, Real and Atletico, then finishing top 4 is going to be very difficult indeed.
Don't buy the arguement that juve are significantly weaker either. You can have no doubt that bonucci and chiellini will kick the hell out of silva and aguero. Let's hope they aren't over aggressive and injure them. Here is the most likely juve team
Buffon
Lichsteiner Bonucci Chiellini Alex Sandro
Marchisio
Khedira Pogba
Dybala
Morata Mandzukic
That starting 11 still looks very strong to me.
