Attendances so far.

Chelsea: 54,331.
Watford: 53,218.(Watford 3rd tier didn't sell out -1000)

Next home match.

West Ham have only taken the 1st and 2nd tiers.
The 3rd tier is currently on sale to City fans.

Big step up and good to see. Need to sort out these away allocations with teams asking for the full allocation and falling way short.

The away section in the 3rd tier allocated to City fans for the West Ham match is selling well.

I'm taking my son (3) to his first City match for this one, and the nearest row to the front on Friday was L, (11 rows from the front). They only went on general sale on Friday, and the match is 3 weeks away.

Intersting picture in the MEN showing the level 3 away tier less than 1/3rd full.

Somebody at Watford messed up.

West Ham will be interesting. Additional seating in the NW corner by the access tunnel and West Ham only taking 1,600 means we'll see if we can sell 53,000+ "home tickets" for a "less glamorous team". If we can and we break the attendance record we set against Chelsea then the stadium clearly is still too small.

Lower North Stand had a few empty (not talking about first few mins of the 2nd half with loads still getting a pint) but tbh that's quite common. Was expecting more not turning up . CFC at home would always be full but surprised yesterday was pretty much full as far as City allocation is concerned

Main problem in terms of how it looks on TV, as always is large blocks of seats with nobody in them, these are ALWAYS in the North Stand L1 and corporate areas CB and East Stand l2

From what I gather this is due to tickets for academy players families in North Stand and unused sold corporates in L2.

Club should move the free tickets for academy players out of TV cameras view

I noticed yesterday that East Stand level 2 had a shit load of empty seats. Mind you, it was Watford, so corporate won't sell as well. Maybe there's something the club can do, maybe reducing the prices of some corporate seats when they don't sell. Mind you, do they want the great unwashed in the corporate seats, or would they rather they were empty?

It's so annoying that we get mentioned all the time about our empty seats but I've watched quite a few games live this season and every game has had empty seats. Our game at West Brom for example and even Liverpool v Bournemouth. And today's game saints v Norwich there are stacks of empty seats but it won't get mentioned anywhere. We get 53,000 yesterday and yet I still get mates commenting about our empty seats.

When the press and other fans talk about empty seats, it's because they have nothing else left to go at! I take it as a compliment.

The best one had to be the "we have more fans than you in Australia" dippers!

West ham will be a good yardstick, saturday on sky, near a champions league game, meaning many will choose one or the other, i think the prices are just a little bit too steep, 50k will be an excellent turn out

Two great criwds and I can see us getting more than 50k for every game.

We can grow our fan base to justify the North Stand extension. The crunch decision for fhis Club is whether they they can sell enough corporate tickets to help pay for the expansion.
