Pre Match Thread | Man City v West Ham

Another injury? What is going on? Almost half the team has picked up an injury (almost all of them minor) in the first month of the season.

And what is with these pre-match warm up injuries? Seems like there's one or two every year over the past few years.

I just said the same on the last page. It might be that they are carrying out fitness tests via the warm up and keeping a niggling injury quiet until then. If not and it is the warm up causing them attention needs to be paid by the staff as to why.

Silva injury is a blow but the team is still strong and balanced enough to negotiate through this match. The key is that the injury is not serious- seems that he was feeling unwell so hopefully he will be better for the next game.

Really hope this is nothing serious. Injuries will decide who wins the title this season.

Silva was obviously carrying an injury-didn't look fit the other night. Big blow.

If so then let's hope they worked on two systems in the likelihood he might mot make it. We don't want to see the first half hour devoted to figuring out what way to play in the absence of Silva.

But to be ready for that is what Pellegrini gets paid for, of course.

does that mean Silva will miss the Sunderland game?
Give me a sec...

Don't know mate sorry

What is going on? kun and David get kicked around the pitch and as a result (and lack of protection from refs) pick up injuries.

Reckon they're brought back a bit too soon rather than it being an injury during warm up.

Seems to me the same players keep picking up injuries. Players who you never see injured such as Kolarov, Fernandhino and Yaya play just as much as Kun, Silva or Kompany. True nobody gets kicked as much as Silva but Navas takes his share of fouls and you never see that little tough bugger get injured.

Hahahahahaha players swearing in the tunnel "Apologies for the language being used in the tunnel". Who said what?

I think it was Joe

Anyone going to take a guess at how many times Sky mention the cost of our squad ?

Anyway 2-0 City Aguero and Yaya

I hate the English commentary as well. You just know if we have one of those first halves like Watford where we cant break them down, the commentators are going to go on and on about why such an expensively assembled side struggle, blah blah. It spoils it massively for me, so I go for one of the foreign streams. You can still hear the crowd - that good enough for me. In fact there is a good Spanish Acestream now that is excellent.
