I know we all criticise the refs as their performances are far from good. Truth is though, they are poor and when your refereeing such a high profile league, you would think their governing body would be looking into this. Or maybe that's where the problem actually is!
The problems with football these days can be laid at the door of national and international administrators. These people cannot see beyond the end of their own cocks. They possess as much vision and insight into the game as a dead dog! Where other sports have grasped the opportunities presented by technology to bring the game out of the twentieth century, and the first half at that, football, as administered by our own FArce and FICKFUFA, is miles behind where it could and should be!
I agree mate. Saturday was the worst refereeing performance I had witnessed for a long time, and even though TV pundits now and again make reference to poor decisions, life carries on in referee land as if all is rosy.
Technology could and should be used to help the refs job easier and make the game better for all.
The premier league is only valuable for TV if it is as close as possible for the "big 4". Sky spent a ton of money in the 90s building up the big 4 in developing markets so that it wasn't seen as another Spain with a 2 horse race for the title.
Dippers screwed up their spot in the big 4 and we took over. So the dipper / Asia fanbase is in limbo land.
The PL and sky need it to be a 4 horse race or the value fades away.
The horse race is a handicap - they don't need any team winning with 4-6 games still to play.
Cue dodgy fixtures reffing and decisions.
Richard Madeley would have reffereed better. One of the best and in a different league to City hating Fat Bob Madley
