I want him and Evans to be our future CM core ....but it's wishful thinking I know.
Nice to see an Irish lad making a name for himself and playing outside of England. Would love to see him make it at City but odds are slim. I'll be following Cambur close this season. If anyones interested he made his first team debut(i think?) yesterday
He did but he did not stand out at all. Fist match though so nothing to worry about.
Byrne will definitely make it as a professional footballer, and most likely in the premiership eventually. I just honestly have no idea if it'll be at Villa's level, Everton's, Spurs' or ours... time will answer that.
It's not wishful thinking at all, they both (and others) have to improve in every department to get their chance. The bar is set very high nowadays at City.I want him and Evans to be our future CM core ....but it's wishful thinking I know.
Was that the PSV game? I thought he apparently played well?
No mate, he started the league match at home against Twente. A 0-0 thriller :). It was last Saturday, he was hauled after an hour.
A little bit the team needing a bit more experience to try and score, a little bit his first match and beginning to tire.
As i said though, first match, plenty of time, he did not look out of place, just did not stand out.
Yeah, I heard that was a nothing game. He played in the 3-2 defeat though at PSV and was apparently a lot better, dictating stuff and involved in a lot. Their fans certainly seemed impressed.
I think a better word than 'haul' may be appropriate if he hasn't performed poorly.Last two matches he has been hauled off after an hour but i think that is to ease him in rather than anything he has done wrong.
He is getting the starts though so he must be doing well in training.

Thats the thing with Jack he needs to be playing man football as they call it. He will get better with the more and more games he plays in the Dutch league. I hope next season Jack continues his experience at another European club were he will be tested a bit more to get into there team but i just think Jack will get better and could well be the a squad player if he continues to progress in the next 2 years he could be a option.Yeah my mate was at the first under 21 game during the week and said Jack looked class
