Ref for Saturday - Newcastle (H)

after the robbery on saturday i simply don't give a fuck who is the ref for our games all of them are shit or bias ALL of them

And the reason why is?

Cause it causes debate in a general slow week, and is interesting to know who we have got,it's done every week,so we can mentally think about it and absorb it as the week goes on,I generally have said in these threads that a few say "couldn't give a fuck etc etc,or it don't matter who it is etc etc but still feel the need to contribute to the thread, why I don't know, just like you have,so does that explain the reason why to you now ?

Put our chances away when they come and we won't have to worry about the officials.

It's getting to the point where it doesn't matter what ref we get, there'll always be a bad decision against us.

For the most part it seems the game is now just too fast for the 3 officials to referee. Video technology is inevitable for the big decisions.

I've lost faith in most of them. Each game now comes down to hoping we play well enough for their ineptness not to impact the result. It's a pretty dire situation considering how much money is in the game and what's at stake for the top clubs.
This isn't just a problem for our matches, every week there seems to be a shed load of contentious decisions after a round of fixtures.
It's time to start giving them helping hand, though just how much is another subject.

Good point the game is a lot faster now, which could explain some of the bad decisions, although the majority is down to pure incompetence, and some down to cheating like our game on Saturday...

True and it's less to do with the ref these days and more to the linesman. I'd rather know who they are and we'd know if we're going to be screwed over again.

They don't need an helping hand just a few hundred fans waiting to greet them as they arrive and when they leave to say Bon voyage you cheating set of shitheads

My youngest son plays football each Sunday morning and the ref has to decide all the offsides calls on his own without any assistants or neat lines mowed across the pitch.

I accept the offside calls are the primary duty of the PL referees assistants but that first Spurs offside was certainly so blatant Clattenburg should have spotted it as well.

It was too obvious to be accidental, IMO it was cheating pure and simple.
