Methinks Wayne is due a nomination for BBC Sports Personality if the Year...

Utd players attract votes. Many votes allow the BBC Sports Dept to pretend it's still relevant. Everyone goes home happy.
 
Rag genius in my local said last night almost same.that everyone underestimated them n they are gonna get 7 in revenge for the 6 in the derby.offered a 50 quid bet n was willing put it behind bar if he matched it.then he came out with greatest retraction ever"I just said that cause you bring up the six,I stopped watching our games cause prem league is fixed" hahaha

Rather sad that the BBC sports dept plumb these depths - they really are feeling the pressure from the politicians and so are chasing ratings like mad - expect BBC Sports Personality of the Year for R Wayne and an OBE for Servicing the Elderly

Lunatic in the pub was waffling on about Collen being a self made businesswoman, they actually believe all this shit about them. He didn't like it when I piped up saying if he hadn't been any good at football she would of been pushing a pram around Toxteth with 4 kids hanging off it.

I agree with Jamie on this one.maybe not the messi part but He is definitely the best 19yr old I have seen since freddy adu.
 
As if Jamie Redknapp ever saw Messi at 19. He probably never even heard of him until a few years ago because he plays abroad.
 
I really don't understand this thing with shrek.
It's obvious that he's not the player he used to be. Even rags wanted him dropped.
Is he a paragon of good behaviour on the pitch, showing respect to officials and playing the game fairly?
No.
Is he a shining example of how to behave in his private life?
No.
Does he have good looks?
No.
At least with the likes of Lineker, Redknapp, Beckham or Wright, you can slightly understand why they are still given airtime or have their opinions heard.
Rooney, on or off the pitch, has nothing to offer whatsoever.
At the moment, he's the most overrated and fraudulent player in the game.

Brilliant points, if this as on ITV, C5 or Sky I could handle it as they are just ad chasing shit channels, but the BBC FFS. Media City is supposedly infested with southern Rag journos so I can only imagine it's one of their pet projects, waste of money & airtime. What next a special air-brushed documentary on Ryan Giggs family values?
