I actually thought he was going to be decent after watching him in Euro 2004. He actually never improved since then and his international from nosed-dived since he stamped on Carvalho's bollocks in 2006. His inclusion in the squad in the main reason for my complete apathy to England's three tournament exits since then. From someone who skipped work and school to watch every England game from 1982-2006 that's a severe loss of interest. Admittedly the boring , predictable selection of the managers hasn't helped too.
