Smoking

Shouldn't be allowed in the toilets of course but personally I have mo problem with it on the spirals as they are open air. Would be better if there was a designated open air smoking area.

i personally Don't see the harm in it really, think alot of you should lighten up. At the end of the day, you're in the toilets for a minute if that all game and the spirals are in an outside area. Its not as if it's unbareable for a few mins all game...at stoke you're aloud fags in the bogs!

I'd be more pissed off at the smackheads that sniff things off the back of toilet seats tbh! (which is certainly more of a trend at away games admittedly)
Christ; I thought I contributed some daft posts over the years. Correction, I HAVE posted daft posts over the years. But that one is pushing some of my shittier posts hard.

I remember at Reading a few seasons back, they opened up the gates at half time and had an area sectioned off and stewarded where smokers could nip out for a puff at half time, thought it was a good idea.

Those that smoke in the bogs are wankers, keep your filthy habits to yourself where it will only affect you.

It was going on in the toilets behind 114/115 too yesterday, disgusting having to walk through a cloud of toxic smoke to relieve yourself.

Not when the ones doing it are usually the ones that can barely stand up to watch the games and are more interested in winding the opposition fans up.

So your outraged and angered at people having a line/being pissed/falling over/winding away fans up/not watching the game, but you reckon people should lighten up and don't see the harm in having a fag in a packed out bog where kids are coughing etc.......whopper!

Why is expressing a different opinion on a topic "a shit post"?
No need to get so defensive. I wasn't saying it was shit simply because it offers a different opinion. I was saying that some of what you were saying was shit. You couldn't see the harm in smoking in a place where non smokers are likely to be? As for the smackheads, what they're doing (while undoubtedly stupid) doesn't directly affect other people in the bogs at the same time. Consequently, no "second hand" health risks to someone having a piss while another bloke is ingesting narcotic substances in the cubicle a couple of yards away. I'm sorry if you can't see that.

The ground is non smoking. If you can't refrain from doing so for a couple of hours, instead choosing to go into a packed toilet where there's kids and light up, you're a bit of a selfish ****.
That's all there is to it.

As an ex-smoker (I'm aware there is nothing worse than a former smoker) I personally found that watching City took precedent over going out and feeding my addiction.

I'm not as hot as I once was regarding issues of current drug use...

...but...

do smackheads sniff smack? Have I misunderstood Pulp Fiction?

Can somebody please confirm to me if sniffing smack and then having an adrenalin shot straight into the heart before watching the second half is a new fad "wit da yoot"? (is this how they say it?)

I kinda like the sound of that? ;)

Get where you're coming from mate but at the end of the day, you'll never stop the smokers from getting hits in the bogs spirals etc due to the fact that simply some people like a smoke with an alcoholic drink. Can't defend that some people don't approve of smoking...just how it is...While drug taking at games doesnt directly effect others, its also not nice to have drugged up lads shouting abuse at other fans or just for the sake of it (not talking about chanting) when they're kids around and people that just want to watch the game and keep themselves to themselves. (from my experience)

There was a couple of young lads smoking up at the top of 318, not great but not half as annoying as the assault on the earholes from that ruddy tannoy . It would be nice to have a bit of peace to discuss the game at half time rather than shouty presenters on the pitch or that annoying advert with the opera singing. And while I've got the bee in my bonnet, the crowd noise is drowned out at the start of the game too.

They let you out at half time at west brom if you want to smoke. I don't know if they offer this to home fans too but it's surely the best solution. As much as it's not right, some people will smoke in the bogs and I imagine it's very difficult to police throughout the whole stadium.

I appraoched a steward at half time during the West Ham game to complain about then smoking in the toilets behind the Family Stand. His response was that they don't have numbers to stop it. Although they appeared to have the numbers to stand around talking amongst themselves. There must have been more than 30 smoking at that point so I guess the Stewards thought they were purely outnumbered. It's poor from the cub if they allow this to continue.
