He doesn't dwell much on the ball which is completely different to what we have. He passes as soon as he gets the ball and that is something rare to find in players.

He's a very forward thinking positive player. He'll take chances but when they come off, it's worth doing, rather than not take the chance at all.

He never stops moving neither. Always available.

Besides the goal the one that amazed me was his running off the ball in the area for the final Aguero goal. He seems to know where to position himself and Silva finds him both on the same wavelength. Then when he receives the ball he does not look up one touch sends it into the box for Aguerro to score. Most players want at least two touches in that position. Love the smile from Aguero as they walk back bet he was saying finally someone who can provide me with service. Quality player.

Indeed, i also loved the smile from Aguero :-). He was really happy.

Garth Crooks coming to De Bruyne's aid, of all people...

"Two assists and one glorious finish but no mentions on the Match of the Day analysis? If that wasn't dismissive enough, De Bruyne's magnificent finish was regarded as a bit of a fluke.

Anyone who had observed De Bruyne's time at Wolfsburg would have known that he was the club's top scorer and the Bundesliga's king of assists. Let's be under no illusions: this player does not do 'flukes'; he knows precisely what he's doing."

You have to keep in mind that that Shaerer twat is a lifetime Newcastle supporter. Hardly coming from a neutral standpoint. But MOTD has seriously lost credibility with me since they haven't highlighted his insane talents yet. Another factor in this is the fact they all have a boner for Mourinho. So if they'd highlight just how good KDB is, they'd have to make Mourinho look like a total twat and they're not ready to do that yet. But sooner or later that inevitable conclusion will have to come :)

In any case. My main worry now is keeping those 3 magicians up front fit for the important games. A fully fit City is right now the only team in Europe I see that could stake claim to a final in the CL against Bayern. The rest of the teams aren't convincing enough. Not even Real Madrid or Barcelona atm.

Shhhhhhh......whispering this but......shades of the great Colin Bell.

Two footed, can head it,powerful shot, wins it then give and go,strong, athletic, good engine, sees things early, moves the ball quickly. Can play right ,left & centre. The natural long term replacement for the wonderful Yaya.

We are blessed.

Thank you Sheik Mansour.

Just a small observation but when he plays a pass he is always then on the move either looking for the return or creating space.

As I say it's a small thing but not one that all players bother with

KDB has admitted he sliced it.

KDB has admitted he sliced it.

Where do you get this bollocks from?

Watch the interview. All he says: "I just tried it. Obviously I didn't hit it perfectly, but it went in so...."

The question is, what does he mean by that? In my book, it certainly doesn't mean it was a mishit and "accidentally fell in the goal".

THE INTENTION TO SCORE WAS THERE.

So this is a world class goal. Period. People WANT to see this as a mishit for some reason. Very strange. But people that know Kevin De Bruyne longer than a few weeks know that this is anything but a "fluke". And everyone will have to start admitting it soon too. After he score one or two more screamers, people will be like, ok, maybe the stuff he does isn't anywhere near "fluke".

Proving popular. Apparently they sold out all of the pre-printed shirts for him at the club shop over the weekend.

Ginger legend in the making.

Maybe it also has something to do with the fact that he is the second most expensive player to come the PL and last time such a player came along, aka Di Maria, and had a few good first games they all went bonkers on how brilliant he was for Utd. until that turned out to be the real fluke.

May also have to do with the fact that Sterling, supposedly the biggest English talent, isn't living up to KDBs standards (which is completely normal btw since he is 4 years younger).

But all conspiracies aside it's probably because City have lost their previous two games before Newcastle, and Aguero was the main story in that game.

The short corner with Silva was even more impressive. While Silva kept the ball for a few seconds, De Bruyne switched direction a few times to find space, eventually receiving the ball completely free at the edge of the box.

I didn't see this. Hopefully it means an end to the wasted short corners that have driven me mad for the last few years.

Everything this lad does is impressive to me. He is very quickly becoming one of my favourites. His link up play with Silva is looking pretty good as well.

I cannot wait to see where this leads. I think he will easily become a legend for the club. He is an absolutely magnificent player.
