Were you at the 6-1 Derby?

Fabulous day - totally surreal, a day the Swamp to never be topped - somewhat of a rag-baiting sing song in the coach park after the game

Have not stepped back in the place since

Been to the swamp more times than I can remember watching city, last game was the semi in league cup, swore I would never go again I just fuckin hate the rag bastards they turn me to violence and at 54,I don't need it, do I wish I was there yes I do, but did enjoy it with all my family of blues at home, don't have to of been there to feel the best result ever for all blues.

Fantastic day. One of those days where everything went so well you thought something had to go wrong.

Stashed a load of beer before the game and found it again afterwards.

Bumped into Ian Brown outside the swamp and told him we were going to leather them. He told me I was dreaming

Wish I'd bumped into him afterwards, the bellend.

I went with my son who was 11 at the time, it was his first away Derby.

I always buy something new for derby day, tshirt, top or trainers. Just a habit. This game was a nice pair of Adidas nizza. My feet were killing me as the 5th went in jumping up and down all the time, two fuck off blisters on the back of each foot.

Coming out the ground I held my lads hand and told him to keep quiet as we joined the rags heading up the matt busby way. Joined the hordes and I bumped into a lad I not seen for nearly 15 years, a rag who shouts to me I bet you enjoyed that with a sad look on his face. Loads turned to look at me so I simply said best day ever mate and me and my lad carried on.

Got to the kfc where our taxi minibus was picking all of us from middleton up who had managed to get a ticket and we just went mental. About 16 of us jumping around like we owned the place. We did own the swamp that day.

To the OP.... I hope you are asking rags on Rag Cafe the same question..... to even the balance out in your research, of course ;)
Oh, make sure those interviewed were there the whole 94 minutes ;) ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha

Aww, give the poor lad a break; that's an impossible task!

We weren't there, but it turned out to be the start of a fantastic 24 hours.

Mrs Vienna's daughter had rung us early that morning, saying she'd gone into labour, so we rushed to their house to look after the grandson, but remembered to take the laptop to watch the game.

We were nervous right up until the fourth went in, as past experience told us that the rags are never beaten until the final whistle, but we really enjoyed four, five and six.

At the end of the game, I texted all my football-following mates, none of whom is a rag, "6-1 in their Cup final!" and had some brilliant responses.

The granddaughter arrived just after midday on the Monday.

Drank in Lime bar next to the Lowry pre & post match. Good 30 or 40 blues there after the match all laughing our heads off at the bemused out of town reds that didn't have anywhere else to go. I remember a group from northern Ireland were still there an hour or so after the match and they were proper miserable.
Went in the Pev back in town later, none of us had colours on and 1 lad kept going up to replica clad Utd fans asking what the score had been today and then feigning ignorance - 'is 6-1 a bad score to lose? It doesn't sound good, I don't follow football' etc etc
Glorious day.

I was in the Salford Arms for the 1-6

Just me and my mate Jonny Abstract and a sea of rags

We left when the fifth went in..well and truly outstayed our welcome..and were probably gonna get a kicking

Sang all the way to the Lamp Oil..where we were greeted by an old pissed up racist rag **** who was shouting 'I'd rather be a paki than a blue'

We just laughed in his face..

On top of the world ma
