Can't believe that the fans of the US-owned rags and dippers are stupid enough to complain about foreign money coming into the game. Comedy gold.
If they mean that only gate money is true money then the record transfer fee for a player in our league would be stuck below £10m and the superstar players who have pushed the EPL onto the world stage [something that no English national team is capable of] would still be plying their trades on the continent, leaving the English leagues to be at the same level of the old Second Division, or worse still the Scottish Premiership. But if that's what they really want then I would suggest they need to get out a bit more often.

Just heard a bit of Drive, in which Durham and the thick Yorkie twat had apparently been discussing our financial results.

We missed the discussion between the two, but caught a couple of the phone calls. The first, a Cockney Liverpool fan, complained about out-of-town fans following City and the second, a rag from Ulster, who was moaning about our foreign owners spending their own money on the club.

"Un*t*d's money has always been earned," he claimed.

I could almost taste their bitter tears.

I had it on earlier, and just arrived home having heard Durham say this was Arsenal's best chance of winning the league, because Chelsea and City were both terrible at the moment. Moron.

Surely you know the score by now.

It's WUMmery, pure and simple. Praise one club to the detriment of one or more other(s) and wait for the phones to start ringing and Twitter and Facebook to explode.

But he didn't say that did he ? Jesus Christ he just said it was open league and it was Arsenal's best chance

I think Durhams comments were more meant to annoy Arsenal fans to be honest with regards to it being their best chance of winning the league. And to be fair he's probably correct. However I did have a sniff at the use of the word massive to describe City in the late 1960's.

It's been mentioned on here several times that Durham has a soft spot for City, having spent many a Saturday afternoon on the Kippax during his time at university in Manchester, so I doubt it was deliberately inflammatory.

I think Durham is generally alright about City, as you said he seemingly has a little soft spot for us. It's Gough who I have the problem with, he's simply moronic and has no clue about football whatsoever.

I listened to Drive on my home last night (for my sins). For a change they were actually quite complimentary towards City, saying that we dont get the praise we deserve for the way the club is run, how efficient it is, the fact it is now profitable.

He then more or less challenged fans of other clubs to call in and say they wouldn't want a financial take-over and success. The callers were as described above, bitter, we earn our money, city fans have only been there 2 minutes. And to be fair to Durham he batted them down a couple of times.

Especially the one who said that we'd massaged our figures because they couldn't possible be that due to Sterling and De Bruyne signing and their salaries. Never mind the fact they were the 14/15 accounts.

Full Jose wankfest this morning. Quite sickening. Even the newsreader accused the Boiled Bollock of having a bromance with him.

Quite funny as at 5am they were saying they had an "exclusive" interview with Jose. Not quite sure what the definition of exclusive is as the BBC then had an interview with him on the news programme at 6.20am & he has also given an interview to 5 Live.

Good God, glad I missed it. I can just imagine his inane questions and him saying 'Jose' after every sentence.

He also said he detested the way Jose's teams dived. All Brazil said was that reports of a dressing room mutiny was the papers looking for a story, he then said Chelsea will turn it around because they have so many good players. Which is true. If he said it about City there would be calls for him to be knighted.

It's a Football Focus interview I think, for tomorrow. It's all moodily lit and everything. They've exhausted their sludge bucket of Swamp hype, and have moved on.

Didn't hear the part of the interview about diving. All I heard was a load of arse licking. Not a single challenging question.

Real contrast to yesterday when he kept pointing out how out of order it was for the City bosses to give Pellegrini an ultimatum. He didn't think it might just be paper talk then, even though it clearly was.

Again, more WUMmery, just to rile people into ringing that poor excuse for a radio station.
