Sevilla pre-match thread

Your posts on this issue make a lot of sense but, to be fair, other variables were at play too. Roma were very poor and we played on the break against Munich with excellent performances from Milner and Silva - arguably Milner's and Silva's best performances in Europe for us.

In my opinion, Yaya isn't the problem in Europe. It's how he is used. I'd like to see him play in front of the back four and give Ferna more of a free role to get up and down the pitch. While Yaya will focus on orchestrating the play from deep.

Ok, against Monchengladbach we're shite first half. Yaya comes off at half time, we improve and win 2-1

I'm one of Yaya's biggest fans but time after time he's let us down on Europe. Most pundits have picked up on it but we skill make the same mistakes.

Last couple of games, he's looked like he could do with a rest, but tonight was probably not the night, last Wednesday or even Saturday would have been a better choice for me.

Yeah agreed.

Wow BT are now even putting up a graph to show how many late goals we've had. I'm off to the netz.

Come on city. Pace on the wings, Jesus looking to impress his former followers, ferns protecting a defence boosted by Kompany's return. Yaya to roam free and link up with bony the pony. Come on boys!

Would you play him in a 3 with him sitting deep with Fernando? I'm trying to think of a time when we have done that in Europe. I don't think we have but I may be wrong.

Why do people still watch the build up to any of our TV games, its ALWAYS shite and biased. Just turn it on at kick off, off at half time, on for second half, then off at full time if we've drawn or lost, or leave it on and watch the tw@ts squirm if we've won.

City relying on late goals, with the graph bt have stuck up,also shows a team with a mentality playing to win and playing to the final whistle so fcuk off bt....

''Sevilla are a strong team here - I was working here in Spain for nine years so I know how hard it is to win in this stadium. There's a lot of pressure on the referee from a loud crowd. It will be a close game tonight."

The most important thing now is to get to the next round as soon as possible. We have a great team, and many injuries, but we are in a good moment and I hope we continue to improve."

keep banging on about what weve paid for every fucker.are we the only club that buys players the fuckwits

I think it's quite simple really. In the Prem we have lots of the ball, in possession Yaya is effective. In Europe we have less ball, without the ball Yaya is simply a passenger.

A very pragmatic team selection from MP.

Surprised by the omission of KdB from the starting XI, but I suppose Pellegrini wants to exploit Raheem and Jesús' pace and Kev's not a bad option to have on the bench.

Great to see Delph, Clichy and Barker all among the subs, too.

On a negative note, why can't BT manage to find pundits that are at least supportive of and knowledgeable about Manchester City?

Fuck me, Catflapp Snr and McPointalot have done next to no research on us.

on the sky sports website for the coverage of our game this is the pic:

Presenter: "Think Otamendi is the right man to partner Kompany?"

Harry: "Well when you consider how much they paid for him..."

He's obssessed, zzzzzzz.
