It's cool, Jim. Nothing wrong with a few drinks after that performance.Ignore me. Old age and the couple of shandys consumed earlier in the evening have kicked in.

Yep fully agree. In today's football systems are becoming more and more important and tonight looked like we finally found ours. We've been too reliant on individual quality these last few years and as much as it's bailed us out we're never going to get close to winning the CL with it.The issue with that performance, is what do we do when Silva is fit and De Bruyne starts?
I only ask because that was the best performance I've seen from us in our recent European history.
Outstanding all over the park.
We looked like we had a system and a game plan. That is exactly how we should be playing in Europe and any change to that team in Turin would just be fucking daft.
Great performance! I'm very happy to eat humble pie as I was unhappy with the setup pre-game.
Yes, injuries are a bad thing but sometimes things like that are the making of a team. They don't have to feel so inferior to the two stars of the team and can express themselves more. The product is overall better as a result when they come back. They'll have more trust in their teammates as they've began to really step up to their level.Complete performance. From back to front we were excellent. Hard to pick a MOTM but i'd give it Raheem. Murdered them all night.
By far the best i've seen the two Ferns and Yaya playing together. Complimented each other so well.
Best thing for me was the quality of the football we played. World class. Without Silva and Kun.

Everyone apart from Kolarov was class who got beat virtually every time someone took him on.
I hope Pellers realises we must play Fernandinho & Fernando in the KO stages. We can't drop one to have Silva & Toure in the side, midfield will get bossed.
Dinho for me.Definitely between Raheem and Dinho for MotM.
I'm sure they'll say pelle just stumbled into that formation.
Who was right to drop kev.
Had my slice ;)
That's the first time we've ever played Yaya and Fernandinho in front of Fernando, but the commentators were oblivious to it. They kept referring to Fernandinho as a holding midfielder, and Yaya as a number ten. They are ignorant as fuck. It was a perfect, subtle change from Pellegrini. We've played those three together many times before but EVERY other time, Yaya was advanced with Fernandinho level with Fernando. This doesn't work. Yaya can't play as a number 10. We lose Fernandinho's high press, as Yaya offers none of that. Also, with Yaya too high, we lose a vital link in transition from defence to attack. We need Yaya deep enough to dictate. And this set up allows Fernando to play his best position. This could be our turning point in Europe if Pellegrini remembers this specific tweak on the three man midfield.
