you know that...I see..have you got nobody to talk to?

nah, hahaha, at the moment it looks like you and me, bro.

might pop out shortly for a few stouts at the local but for now if it's cool to turn this thread into a talk-about-anything thread then i'd be happy to talk about anything you fancy..

lately, i've been listening to a lot of keith jarrett playing bach's preluden & fugen,
what about you?

It's been related to us as a chant since black and white days.

Plenty of other things to moan about like Danny and Mike pre-match at pitchside.....
this...if either of you are reading this...please stop...i've never known cheese like it.."come on City"....were top of the Premiership not a non League team on giant killing mission,if i could have got under my seat i would have......

perhaps a gif might help

hey jude or the mind numbingly boring blue moon zzzzzzzzzzzz

with you there, blue, all the way, that version of blue moon is a real downer,
but why do we choose to play a song that is ultimately sad, before we start to play attractive fooball?
what's wrong with other more uplifting songs that have been associated with city over the decades?
why play a sad song instead of an uplifter?

for some reason we have stopped singing this. great song and that united game singing this brings back great memories
exactly,
and my point remains...
when the second half is about to kick off and very few people are singing along, why would we play this sad song?

its been a "city song " for decades lots of clubs sing it now but it is 100% our song ,well john lennon, had a part in it but you know what i mean

i think its just the wrong time to play it really, most people aren't even in there seats at the start of the second half. its not boring when theres 40,000 people singing it, same with blue moon. when everyone sings it its spine tingling

'Jude' is a dreadfully lower middle-class name.

have to agree... the poorer christian godbotherers harping back to the traitorous iscariot.

were it more middle class perhaps it would be thomas hardy's jude the obscure.

the rest of us can only cling to jude the patron saint of lost causes

Thomas Hardy would have been a wonderful chronicler of City in the Swales era.

Ridiculous thread. I must have sang this hundreds if not thousands of times down the years

i don't see your point, forgive me, but just because lots of us sing a song based on a famous song why does that lead us to playing the original over the tannoy?

should we play this at half time?..

would that lift the players?

Why do we need this when Danny and the other bloke can get the SS to have a "city city city city" sing off against another block. Surely that's all that's needed
