i walk in from the bridge side linking to the academy, entrance M2. Usually walk down to K and cut through the away fans section with no problem, I try to do that tonight only for it to be completely blocked off and told by stewards and police to go all the way back out onto the new road and walk around. An inconvenience but fine i though. I do just that, realise it's blocked off all the way down to entrance P. Finally get past the fences to be told by stewards there's no entry for city fans despite the hull fans actually queuing inbetween the green fence leaving the entrances i usually go in completely clear and that i'll have to go in via R.
So i go to R queue for an eternity as instructed only to be denied entry and to be told i should be going in P instead. By this time i can hear the teams coming out, i do the same thing in an even longer queue at P and i'm eventually denied entrance again and get sent to one of the guys in blue.
They're surrounded by people in the same boat and he decides he has to wait until somebody has collected the people and escorted them individually to the right entrance before dealing with anybody else. Could easily of scanned other peoples cards whilst he waited for the steward escorting people to come back and do it in bulk. Eventually gets round to scaning my card to tell me i should infact of gone in at entrance K. the same entrance i passed 15-20 minutes ago.
Ask if i can cut through the blocked off area as i'm recovering from a knee injury, recently off crutches and all this excess walking is taking its toll on me slightly, and it will take another 10 minutes to walk all the way back around but was told in no uncertain terms no and i have to walk around.
Took a good 30-40 minutes to get into the ground and missed the first 10 minutes because of piss poor organisation and no information whatsoever. All i needed was a simple email or text to tell me my entrance has changed for tonight, they can send me emails previewing the match but can't send me information on my entrance being closed. Even without a text or email all it needed was somebody near K to direct people there instead of telling people to go all the way around to the other side only to be sent back 20 minutes later. I wasn't alone either, everybody was doing the same. Pathetic organisation made worse by the fact it could of very easily of been avoided.
