Eccles of course! Just Eccles!!
the fans?

We seem to panic these days if we lose a match, it is as if it is the end of the world. I bet there wasn't this much fuss when we were down the divisions not that many years ago. In those days, with no internet you could go home and kick the cat or get drunk and then next day it would be all over and we would be raring to go again next week.

So now we want to sack everyone except ourselves for not performing well, not looking after the players properly, for not changing the team at the appropriate time............. So maybe we should be sacked for panicking too early or for not singing loud enough or leaving the match early, arriving late..........

Sorry mods, if you think this thread is too frivolous please feel free to delete it but I am just trying to lighten everyone's gloom............ the weather doesn't help does it folks?? :-)

Was talking about this with Ducado last weekend. When we lost in the old days, it really didn't seem to matter as all we wanted to do was get to 40 points. So we didn't have the expectation we do now and if we didn't win one week, we'd hope to win the next. Nowadays every game, every point dropped, could be crucial to winning something so it matters more.

I guess (well actually know) that you are right PB, I just thought it was time for a little levity among the gloom and doom!! You know me, Ms Contrary, I think it's time I settled down and acted my age really!!! ;-)

Either at the match or on here....................... come to think of it, we probably lost yesterday because I decided I would go to my Great-Granddaughter's 3rd birthday party instead of Stoke away............. bad, bad, bad, Eccles Blue. ;-)

Personally I think it's all gone to shit since Chappy retired as kit-man. Brandon clearly just isn't doing enough gurning.

It's obvious to anyone who wants to pay attention that EVERY club (relative to their league position) will lose more (or in united's, case draw lots more) games this season. It's perfectly conceivable a team could win the league with 7/8 defeats. This should give people a sense of perspective, but it won't.

If we didn't have good players facilities owners I could accept those results yesterday and against Liverpool/spurs but when you have the best of everything I expect a lkt more so no

Get over the old days. We're now a big club and have the money to spend top class players so yes of course we expect big things and state our opinions!!!

Mourinho predicted that at the start of the season and has gone on to get his 8 defeats out of the way early on.
