He sprayed the ball well from side to side and tried a couple of forward runs. he was playing very very deep, practically a centre back at times and I felt he was very uneffectual. have a look at their 1st goal as well.

He was far from brilliant tonight. He was much improved on his previous outings but still wasted plenty of passes and looked out of sorts for spells of the game. He did go on a couple of trademark bursting runs through the middle which always look impressive but I'd certainly fall short of calling him brilliant.

He was dropping deep to get the ball because the centre backs aren't good enough to play it out.

He was quality tonight.

If youre putting blame on him for their goal then you're really pushing it that's for sure.
