Swansea's Monk sacked (merged)

Swansea are clearly in a bad run of form, but I'm not sure it's all Monk's fault.

Swansea barely spent in the summer, they only spent £9 million which isn't much in the Premier League in 2014. Teams like Crystal Palace, West Ham and Stoke who were spending quite big money were obviously going to overtake them.

Swansea sold their best player Bony for £30 million in January, didn't re-invest any of it, didn't buy a replacement, but it's the manager's fault? Not sure about that.

Rodgers looks the favourite for the job, I think that would be a good move for him. A top half finish and bigger teams will start looking at him again.

Shame - the recent disappointing run aside he's been good for Swansea, I really thought they'd give him more time.

Hopefully he'll bounce back even stronger - there's not enough decent young English managers out there.

I wonder why he's been sacked and Maureen hasn't?

They're only one point and one goal worse off than Chelski. The comparison is made between last seasons form and this. Again ladies and gentlemen I give you Chelski.... Hey ho, there you go! Never mind roll on Saturday!

Chavs can't afford to sack Maureen. They'll fail FFP if they do.

There must be some anniversaries of mining accidents in south Wales that Brenda could use his left over candles on?

FFS another one just before our game how many is that now?

Smacks of Aston Villa Remi Garde's, first game...We better trounce them no matter whoever's in charge..
Less of the sentiment Bony, remember who pays your wages ..

They sold their star player for £30m and then only spent about £10m in the summer to replace him.

I bet share values have gone up massively in the last five years. They won't always make good appointments.

We could do a lot worse than get Monk involved in our coaching set up somewhere, I think he has all the attributes to be a very good coach in the future. Swansea's stupid knee jerk reaction will be someone else's gain, even if this job was maybe a bit big a bit too early for him.

Rogers has "lined up bigger jobs" according to Neil Ashton. Makes you ask the question of who can they really get?
As in bigger money. Bodgers could be the most successful team coach in Arabia...

They haven't got a new Manager yet, and very unlikely to have one by the weekend.

Your right,I can't see them having one on board before weekend, unless they already had someone lined up,were it could happen tomorrow I suppose, but this will be a new manager in the stands scenario now, either way we should see them off with ease, with or without a manager on the touchline

alan curtis will step in as caretaker manager im sure. hes been at the jacks since he was in nappies.
