I think its highly desirable that an anti war protest movement exists in our country. But it needs to take a uniform stance on all conflicts, rather than being selective. It also needs to stick to that issue.
It was actually formed by the SWP and other left groups. Since it`s inception, the SWP have had members at the top of the leadership. The attacks on the STWat coalition, are from the same people attacking Corbyn and McDonnell. The WARMONGERS. Don`t fall for the attacks which are designed to weaken and destabalise the movement.When it started it was a noble idea and we need a voice to oppose wars unfortunately cranks from the SWP have now too much influence at the top level. It needs to be disbanded and reassembled a broard co-operative with collective leadership who come from different ideologies, but have the common cause of anti war. All the left groups and organisations have there differences, I am just pleased that on certain occasions, they are put aside when required. Such as voicing opposition to war and opposing racism, as when the edl come to pay an obnoxious visit to our great city.Yeah but it was a popular movement at the start that meant the swp were kept grounded. I hate the swp they are complete tossers who give the left a bad name, I have first hand experience of them in the late 80's latching onto campaigns and strikes and causing more harm than good with their dickishness

Fair play they collected money and got donations for the strikers, but they seemed to thinak they could then turn up at the picket lines and rant and cause mither with the coppers. They would also just turn up at our house daily telling me dad to support this that and the other and that their help for the strikers should mean they owe them support. In the end me dad told them to fuck off as they would not leave anyone in the strike alone, they then decided to heckle strikers as traitors to soclaism for not supporting them on everything. When we go on marches and they turn up all me dad says is "the tossers are here" Most left wing groups joke about their name as they probably haven't worked a day in their life.Stop the War is really The Socialist Worker Party, basically its a political tool rather than a peace movement.

I remember being on strike a good few times in the late 80`s and early 90`s. The SWP turned up at the picket lines, some were nurses, some from kellogs in Trafford park, carers and office workers. I did not agree with everything they said or did, the same as other groups who turned up to show solidarity. It is a shame that you still hold sectarian views against them. Whats the point of going on a march or demonstration, if you are going to badmouth certain groups?My

We can't keep using Hitler and his cunts as an excuse to go to war. The only thing 'we' have learnt since the second world war is the perfection of a false flag. Hitler used one and he wasn't the first. You are all brainwashed in a left/ right way of thinking. The only way we will stop these money making wars is to think for ourselves, go against the trend and stick together as one. Until then, we have no fuckin hope.
