Just recd notification of change of seat for semi final from CB3 to East stand, really did think we would have big crowd for this so surprised they have not opened CB3.

Hopefully the demand will be there nearer the date of the match to open CB3. If not it will be a poor show for a cup semi final.

Level 2 and 3 of the South Stand are being relocated to level 1 because of an extended allocation for Everton. Seated in level 1 with a load of scouters above us. What could possibly go wrong?

That crossed my mind too; memories of derby matches at the swamp come to mind.

I too am surprised at the closure of CB3 - a cup semi final should always be a great occasion, regardless of the competition

Maybe they are selling L1 & L2 first so that there aren't the gaps around the ground that people comment on? Then if they all sell they will open L3? Sound sensible to me if that is their reasoning. But they can't do right for doing wrong as my old Gran used to say. :-)

If Everton get a good result in the first leg then they will have a huge demand for tickets for the return leg. I'm sure the club have learned lessons from the BMG game and will want to avoid away fans in the home sections, wont they?

After speaking to one of the heads of security, this is pretty much what they're thinking. They know Everton are going to bring loads, and that we probably won't sell out, so why not give them more?

My only gripe is putting them above City fans, I don't think that's sensible, but he's said their will be mesh covering the front rows so they can't see the stand directly below them.

No lights out, pre kick off though for obvious reasons.

Everton tickets now on sale.
I used to be on the cup scheme but came off the reason being moved from level 3 to level 1 was a pain, if you were given a seat at the front it was a poor view plus you got a good soaking when it rained, a seat at the back was a let down at night games caused by late comers blocking your view for the first 15 or so mins.
A sound move would have been to offer the CB3 fans the chance to upgrade to Joe's or 93.20 for the Everton game.

If you don't like EL3 plenty of room SS2 211/212 & 219/220. Switched down via customer services no problem.

Should be a fun atmosphere with that many away fans next door

We only had something like 38,000 for our last semi final against West Ham, a poor show in my view, but as others have said, if the result is in the balance after the first leg, maybe demand will increase, but I don't remember the club opening previously closed parts of the ground.

I've got my ticket.

36000 v Liverpool too in 2012 so can't see there being more than 45000 for this on, hence the reason they have closed CB3

Considering there are only 18k seasoncard holders who are on all the cup schemes, it would leave us having to sell approx 28k-30k to sell out.

There was an Executive Committee meeting of the Supporters Club at the CFA on Tuesday just gone.

Figures from City themselves. The 18k is seasoncard holders on all 3 schemes. I don't know the breakdown of how many are on just one or even two.

Thanks I'm a bit surprised it's so high on all 3. I know quite a few on 1 or 2 myself included.

You can still do that individually

I'm surprised it's as low as 18,000 on all three tbh, really hope we get a decent crowd goImg to the semi final though

Seems high if anything. It's a big commitment to sign up for all 3.
It can be an expensive hobby following a successful team. I'm on them for ease tbh as I'll be going and I sometimes forgot to get my seat and I have a good seat so it was always gone
