Opposition view: Arsenal

Some very typical Arsenal fans responses to those questions. Koscielny the best defender in the league? Nowhere near, he's a good defender but he's not a great defender, Although the fact that Arsenal have had poor centre backs for the last decade probably clouds his judgement. You can see how having a competent defender would lead them to over react.

His description of Ozil is way over the top, he's never been the best creator in Europe, nevermind by a mile, however, you can't deny he's in superb form right now so you can maybe overlook the over the top description.

The one that got me was the comment about Cech. Not slating him in any way, he's a great keeper and a great signing for them, but the whole "had to change the description of the definition of a good goalkeeper" comment, as if they've never had a good keeper before. Unless he's still at school, does he not remember Seaman?

You don't rate Ozil or Koscieny.
You're wrong
Both are first rate and in my view currently the best number 10 and best central defender in the PL

Ozil isn't better than Silva and the only reason his stats are favourable at the moment is due to Dave missing two months.
Only arsenal fans and Ozils mum think he's better.

Did you even read my post? I specifically said Koscielny is a good defender and Ozil is currently one of the best around in the form he's in. That would indicate i rate them. Koscielny is nowhere near the best in his position in the league and the claim "Ozil is the best creator in Europe by a mile" is also just as wrong, although, as i originally said, he's possibly the best in the league at this precise moment due to his form.

I have no problem with your claim regarding Ozil, it's open to debate but it's a very reasonable claim and it's one i'd probably agree with personally, your claim is a lot different to the claim in that article. However, i highly doubt anybody that isn't an Arsenal fan would share your view about Koscielny. He's good, reasonably reliable and is someone who has found a level of consistency recently, he's not the best though and will never reach that level.

I've just woken up, smelt the coffee and wondered why you seem so perturbed?

You have for some reason misquoted him. His point was that you had to spend heavily to get to the level you are at now.

Currently you are working to get a sustainable business model, meaning inter alia, you begin to live within your means.

Why so sensitive, seeing sleight where non was intended.
We aren't working to get a sustainable business model. We have one. Don't you know we at e in profit?

You really think Ozil is better than Silva?

Really?

What fucking world do Gooners live on?

Fucking shandy drinking cunts.

How much is that down to sponsorship from Etihad related parties?
Let's than 10%

To put it another way, less than Utd get for their shirt sponsorship to sponsor our ground, kit AND academy.

You really have no clue about City's business model do you.

You never wondered why City are values at £2bn compared with Arsenal's £800m?

It's not 2009 any more Dorothy.

To be honest, I'm not that arsed about your financial situation, if anything I kind of agreed with some of you rightly pointing out that FFP was a crude attempt to keep the arrivistes out

As long as the football authorities say it's legal, then fine by me

Haha.

Every time I have a soft spot for the Gooners someone like you pops up to make me remember why I piss myself laughing every year during the annual bottle job.

I've always had some admiration for City. A useful counter point to the poison of OT under Ferguson. Tremendously loyal fans who stuck through the long times in the shadow of their Trafford neighbours much deserving of the success they now enjoy.

I really don't see why some City fans have an issue with Arsenal. I don't know of one Arsenal fan who didn't cheer Aguero's last gasp winner against QPR to clinch the title to deny Ferguson and Man Yoo revelling in their palpable humiliation.

Also, I'm old enough to remember the team of Bell, Summerbee and Lee. They were a great team to watch.

The issue is that in general Arsenal fans were arguably the most begrudging of our striking it lucky when ADUG came in. There is still a large portion of Arsenal's online fanbase that carry a lot of resentment for City and they're not shy about letting it be known.

I don't have an issue with Arsenal. Before Chelsea got money, you were the only ones stopping Utd each season and when Rooney dived to win the pen to end your unbeaten run I was gutted.

Having said that, Silva is the best no 10 in the world and but for some pub player taking his ankle out 2 months ago, we wouldn't even be having the discussion.

It's Bell, Lee and Summerbee
