Meanwhile, over at the Caf, over half want LVG sacked now. Thankfully, the fans on this forum have too much class to hound out an elder statesman of the game in his last job before retirement after a few disappointing results. I am certainly not a flapper. ;)

If there's any danger of dropping out of the top 4, the Glazers will put their hand in their pockets and splash out. They did it last time and they will do it again. Apart from that they will keep a tight hold of the purse strings.

Rooney or TT ? It would be piss funny to see Turtle in panto - just a cameo where he walks on half cut and slurs " Louis van Gaal's Red and White Army " before shuffling off.....

Why would he choose Utd over City?

He only ever managed teams already dominant in their league with the best squad. So, coming to England, he is clearly going to aim for City above others.

Whereas taking over at over United would be a much tougher task with no chance of immediate success from a distinctly average, by United standards, squad. A Herculean task, a bit like cleaning out the Augean stables.

Anyway, I suspect it's all academic and he has already signed for City.

And Giggsy would be straight out of the door. The one thing that Mourinho hated about Chelsea was that, with a typically paranoid Russian as owner, everyone was watching and snitching on everyone else. That won't happen at the rags and he'll probably get the run of the place so no way will he want Giggs breathing down his neck.
