For all our frailties we should beat any side in the league on any given day, although they all think that too of course. So with half the season to go we will be Champions at a canter. This is not an unreasonable proposition, especially if we do a bit of strengthening in January under Pep's direction. Calm yourselves - all will be well.

How do we flush it out?
First step is to change the one major variable we can.
The manager. The team clearly don't want to play for him and that's the most charitable explanation I have for the procession of half arsed displays we are treated to.
We can start on the players close season.

Lose the manager and give on or two players a severe reality check. Who could come in and do that I'm not sure? If Pep is on his way may also upset the applecart. Lets grit our teeth and get on with it. It's a bit like the last days of Mark Hughes tenure all over again.
Play youth. We're loosing games and have no desire at the moment. I'd rather us loose games with young players who are actually hungry to play the game.

I know and that also infuriates me. Kelechi Iheanacho is in better form yet Bony starts? We have spend millions to develop youth but there must be an atmosphere that they have no chance of ever breaking into the first team. There are no hungry young players pushing the established team to perform at their best.
I really do hope Pep comes as I think he'll be more likely to give them a try, and he wont have any issues rotating egos.

Can't agree with your other comment but the amount of money wasted has been scandalous. The transfer committee or whatever its called needs looking into pronto, the owner can't keep giving us money to pay for sub standard players like Bony and Mangala.Shouldn't have been allowed in in the first place, transfers have been absolute shite except for sterling and de Bruyne

We need to clear out players who either dont fit into the way we want to play or are simply not good enough so the likes of fenando,mdm,mangala,navas,nasri,toure, kolarov however weve needed to clear our squad out for years but its never happened . If we do clear them out i hope we dont replace them with more players that arent good enough like we have done in recent times.

Toure is a little harsh. I think if he's played right he's worth having in the squad.

To think that someone decided we would pay £54 million to Porto for Mangala and Fernando beggars belief, who does the buck stop with?.
