How would you feel if Mancini went to Chelsea? | Now linked with United (p10) and Forest (p14)

The players that shit on Mancini were thinking about themselves not the club. He belongs back here. Fuck Pep and any of those arseholes that threw the cup final for their egos. Bring Bob back now!
Hear Hear
The players were looking for themselves and knew they were going to be weeded out.

Because of that we gave the scums their undeserving 20th title.
In an 18 month stretch the scums parlayed their record of no red cards minimal bookings and undeserved penalties given.

Managers come and go as do players.

The club is what matters and it wouldn't bother me if he managed another premiership club.

Personally I think he is a good manager but not a great one so for us it might be an advantage to have him at a rival club while he is there.

Way better coach than what people give him credit for.
His only weakness is that he won't pander to big egos ... its a huge weakness to have if you're going to coach a top team.

Did Ferguson pander to any big egos?

There have been events associated with Wayne Rooney, Cristiano Ronaldo, Eric Cantona, Roy Keane and David Bekham which can be considered as pandering.
Of course the stature of the players also makes a difference.

In any case SAF's career is an outlier.
Better to compare Mancini to coaches like Ancellotti, Hiddink, Guardiola, etc.

It's a job. It's also his life, his career. If he wants to go to Chelsea it's his choice.

If he does go there, I just hope he throws Costa off of the highest point of the Stamford Bridge stadium. Immediately upon arriving there.

I'd be devastated. He's ours.

He took that fucking banner down, he won us the league in the most exciting, exhilarating way imaginable, he done them cunts 6-1 at their manor. He's a City legend, and I don't a fucking cunting rats twatting arse if he didn't say good morning to some fucking gurning imbecile.
Winning the league in the most exciting way possible isn't a huge plus. We should have strolled that game. It nearly fucking killed me.

6-1 you say...

Has it really gotten to the point with those entrenched on both sides that on Christmas Eve, City's best Derby result ever is being used like this as if you were baiting a rag.

Is it not possible to accept (and be appreciative) and agree we had some great times under Mancini and he was exactly what we needed at the time BUT also accept that his methods had a shelf life and he had to go when he left.

It's fucking childish all this bickering neigh on three years down the line from fans supporting the same fucking club.

Sense of humour by-pass.

I don't like him,his unpredictable, volatile and arrogant personality isnt for me.....but hes a very interesting character with a unique approach and his presence and method is fascinating to watch,at another club id welcome his return with open arms, like Mourhino,he's good for the league.

Or you could have easily quoted any of Billyshears posts and said something similar, but no you quote a one defending Mancini, odd that SWP, even though my further post showed my support for Pellers and his success with us.

So I will reiterate my feelings again just to make them clear...

Mancini is the manager that brought me my first success as a City fan after over 35 years of following them through thin and thinner, of course I am going to feel that his spell in charge of the club was a magical time for us all but for some that isn't true, some people out there hated him from the word go and boy don't we know about that, these bitter fuckers are still at it, the whole point is the magic he created for three seasons, have you ever seen Ferguson look so broken after a game of football ?

The thing is, we also know that Mancini wasn't perfect and we are willing to admit this but certain others would just rather pretend that Mancini was a poor manager and it is this that people feel compelled to reply back too.

I agree that City fans fighting on xmas eve and now xmas day is kind of pathetic, so maybe you and your ilk should go away and think why you would rather do this than admit that it was exciting times for a while and Mancini brought us something we had never tasted for a long long time and that was success my friend.

Merry Christmas

As my fellow Citizen said HARK HARK.

Don't listen to posters on internet forums who may have been given gossip by chappy and his mates
Sit down and read Agueros book.

Listen lads and lasses (both pro and anti Mancini); it's Christmas. We don't really need to see this petty squabbling. He was a pivotal part of our history, and ended the long trophy drought (tearing down the banner in the process). And yes, it seems he was a complex character who divided (still does, reading this thread) opinion. But he's gone and moved on; shouldn't we? Festive greetings to all of you.

Yep, I was fucking distraught up in 202. I couldn't even contemplate going back to work the next day. However, the way we done it is now folklore, and as hard as Sky would want to ignore it, they just can't......... you just know if we'd won that game 3-0, that title win would just have been forgotten.

Oh, merry Christmas......

Aguero: Mancini did not lose the dressing room...?

Manchester City striker Sergio Aguero has defended former manager Roberto Mancini, insisting the Italian did not 'lose the dressing room' during the Blues' disappointing 2012/13 campaign.

Despite starting the season with Community Shield success against Chelsea, the Etihad Stadium side laboured in their attempt to defend their Premier League title. City finished 11 points behind arch rivals Manchester United and crashed out of the Champions League at the group phase without winning a single game.

Reports of a dressing room revolt first emanated in October following a 3-1 loss to Ajax in Amsterdam, while goalkeeper Joe Hart was believed to have clashed with his manager in the aftermath of City's derby defeat to United in December.

The former Sampdoria and Lazio striker left his post a year to the day since winning the Premier League in the most dramatic of fashions; Aguero netting in the final seconds of the season to steal the silverware away from the Red Devils.

And the Argentine front-man, who opened his account for 2013/14 in City's 4-0 drubbing of Newcastle on Monday evening, has stuck up for Mancini, stating the players never had a problem with the manager.

Speaking exclusively to FourFourTwo, he said: "Whenever a team isn't at its best, the press are looking for stories to explain why.

"Mancini never had a problem with anyone and we got on well with him because he always had the club's best interests at heart.

"The club have the right to decide whether he was going to stay or not at the end of the season, but there certainly weren't any problems from us."

On the other hand there's always the mythical FBI Dossier version we keep hearing about.

perhaps they were worried he would create a legacy and then wouldn't be able to get Pep in.
I will never hide my love for Mancini, absolutely adored the man and what he did for our club!

Festive Greetings to all!!! For the sake of nostalgia and to put this baby to bed for good, gone but never forgotten, He comes from Italy to
Our first FA Cup victory since 69

The first time seeing City lift the league title.

Memories have been made by this man that will not be erased by the likes of Billy Shears and his gang of Mancini hating weirdos.

I also celebrated when Pellers won the title but nothing will beat the first time after a lifetime of waiting.

+1
