They come and go. It's only us that remain.
Unless your name is David Conn.

Somebody bought me that book for Christmas. Didn't have the heart to tell them that I didn't finish the other copy I've got, such was the overwhelming tone of self-righteousness contained within the narrative. The book really got on my tits tbh.Unless your name is David Conn.

I really enjoyed supporting City under Billy McNeill. (cool trackie tops).
I really enjoyed supporting City under Jimmy Frizzell.
I really enjoyed supporting City under Machin. (saw City twat united for the first time).
I really enjoyed supporting City under Howard Kendal. (hated it when he left but it was a rollercoaster).
I reallyenjoyed supporting City under Peter Reid. (top quality season before he got sacked).
I really enjoyed supporting City under Brian Horton. (summerbee, Walsh, Rosler, Beagrie. spurs at home. Fucking brilliant).
I really enjoyed supporting City under Alan Ball. (Kinkladze).
I really enjoyed supporting City under Steve Coppell. (QPR away in the cup. weird)
I really enjoyed supporting City under Phil Neal. ( too ridiculous to get angry about).
I really enjoyed supporting City under Frank Clark. ( Forest away. total shambles).
I really enjoyed supporting City under Joe Royle (obvious promotions/wembley)
I really enjoyed supporting City under Keegan. (Great football. Spurs away. Benarbia).
I didn't really enjoy supporting City under Stuart Pearce.
I really enjoyed supporting City under Seven. (west ham away. Munich anniversary derby).
I really enjoyed supporting City under Mark Hughes. (the takeover).
I really enjoyed supporting City under Roberto Mancini. (the first semi final in my lifetime. champions league for the first time in my lifetime. the first cup final and silverware in my lifetime. beat united 6-1 at the swamp. First league title in my lifetime. greatest sporting moment in my lifetime. First city manager who fucking stood up to Ferguson on the touchline in my lifetime).
I really enjoy supporting City under Pellegrini. (cracking bloke. league cup win. Great football. Pisses me off at times. Beat Liverpool to the title for the second time in my lifetime).
some of the above may have been cunts. But the point is I simply can't understand how anyone can look back at the Mancini years without fondness and immense pride. And that goes for all managers previous as well as Manuel. Just enjoy the journey of being a City fan - there really is nothing quite like it.
He's almost as bad as that other shithouse Colin Schindler, who said at the end of Manchester United Ruined My Life “A verbal contract to support a football team may not, in Sam Goldwyn’s memorable phrase, be worth the paper it’s written on, but in the minds of millions of us, it is as binding as one written in blood.”
Stirring stuff and I'm sure most of us could identify with that sentiment. What a shame he reneged on it as soon as the things happening at City were at odds with how he thought things should be. To call him a 'turncoat shyster' is being kind.
Supporting City has been dead ace for three and a half decades! Ok there is the odd bad bit now and then but overall I loved the lot. As for Mancini - very fond memories of his days as manager, but always thought he was a bit of a whining dick at times (which is probably why he was so suited to us)I really enjoyed supporting City under Billy McNeill. The 6-1 Demolition of Fergie's team and especially at OT is enough to convince me that Mancini belongs to the pantheon of great football managers. Mancini exposed the red nose fraud for what he is a poor football tactician and a FA officials Bully.
How can we easily forget that when the rags fans here and everywhere are still traumatized by that Humiliation of the century?
As those on our team who backstabbed him and 'ousted' him they remind me of the current batch of Chelsea players.
Sports forums seldom promote rational thoughts.Just called Ferguson a fraud and a poor football tactician. This place at times ffs.

I'd be devastated. He's ours.
He took that fucking banner down, he won us the league in the most exciting, exhilarating way imaginable, he done them cunts 6-1 at their manor. He's a City legend, and I don't a fucking cunting rats twatting arse if he didn't say good morning to some fucking gurning imbecile.
Never mind Chelsea look at this!
No no no no No!
He managed Fiorentina, Lazio, and Inter twice (2004-08 and 2014-16) but never Milan. He managed both clubs in Milan, so I could see him going to the shithole.
