And compared to most, very well rewarded.This was the first thought that entered my mind on reading it.
The blatant misrepresentation of City fans' motives notwithstanding, it is embarrassing that such sub-standard use of the language (he had from the leak on Wednesday to going to press yesterday to formulate the article) should be financially rewarded.

I'm only annoyed that we DID get humiliated at Spurs. Arsenal lost heavily at Southampton, which was great for us but I couldn't give a fuck if some journos thought they were humiliated or not. It's also worth pointing out that they went on to rip into Arsenal for their repeated failure to follow up good wins like the one against us to establish themselves at the top of the table.On the Sunday supplement they said arsenal lost 4-0 at Southampton.

It's not necessarily about the particular words chosen but yet another example of how they continue to frame the tone of their invective.
City are humiliated, Arsenal are caught out. City are torn apart, United are undone by mistakes. City's lazy mercenaries are hammered, Liverpool are let down by player's unworthy to wear the shirt...
It's hardly the smoking gun amid all of this 'great bias debate', admittedly but it is indicative of the media's portrayal of us versus their reporting on other's failures.
