Rony Lopes

from what i remember didn't monaco bought him permanently from us????? if so i'm not really bother what happen....

What's going on with him didn't he get sold to Monaco and was supposed to go to lille on loan straight away ?

Another player that Manuel gets stick about not giving a chance, maybe he was right and he wasn't good enough. Despite all the criticism he gets, we are yet to see a young player go away and prove him wrong.

Nope, he's doing very well. Luiz Enrique has just said Barca will probably look to buy him back from Sevilla. We messed up big time with that
I thought he wanted to leave (or Barca tapped him up, take your pick), how is that us messing up? And he was sold to Villarreal BTW. I presume that since Barca have to buy him back 4 months after selling him that means you think they messed up too?

We messed up by not offering him enough reason to stay. As a big club, we shouldn't be in the position where clubs can tap our players up. If Kelechi gets tapped up, then it's our fault because we didn't offer enough reasons for him to stay.

Fact is he done well with Sevilla and now is doing well for Villarreal and shown enough promise to be considered by Barca. I'm disappointed we let him go when there's plenty of promise in him. I hope he is the last but would you be surprised if Kelechi and Jason followed him? We should put buy-back clauses on these players and have our backs covered like Barca do.

I've seen a lot of Denis Suarez playing in La Liga & he hasn't impressed me one little bit. Flatters to deceive is how I would describe him. Would not last 5 minutes in the EPL.

I imagine City are absolutely desperate to get an academy player in the first team for a variety of reasons, but they're only going to do it when they have someone they believe deserves it on merit. They're not going to do it for the sake of it. Lopes, Pozo and Suarez weren't deemed good enough and nothing so far has suggested we made the wrong call.

Iheanacho and Denayer are the first ones I think to truly merit inclusion, and as such are the acid test. If either player left permanently due to lack of opportunities then I think questions need to be asked. I'm hopeful that Guardiola will place greater trust in them.

Suarez is doing well though for Villareal. There's a reason Barca want to invoke their buy-back clause. What I don't understand is why we don't insert buy-back clauses/first refusals on our youth players.
