Toure's agent speaks out (again)

Awesome player on his day and maybe the best midfielder in the world a couple of seasons ago.

Sadly he has always thought he was bigger than the club. I always get the impression he thinks he's doing us a favour pulling on our shirt. The last of the "mercenaries".

His game changing goals may be missed but his tantrums certainly won't.

Legend status DENIED!

Love what Yaya has done for the club, but the thought of him leaving in the summer doesn't worry me in the slightest. Would probably be more worried if he didn't leave to be honest.

You are wrong in the mercenary statement. Gary Cook said the rest of the big name players we signed came for the money but Toure came for the project,he was excited by it and wanted to be a part of it.

All footballers, well most of them, come with an ego and baggage and all like the money, who wouldn't? Toure for what he has done on the field for us will always be a legend in my eyes although he does divide opinion.

People are seeing Pep links where there clearly aren't any. This **** of an agent has been trying to engineer a move every window, every window he comes out with shit, now he comes out with shit and it's a "sign" pep is a done deal.

Blues are too hung up on this pep thing, getting all fan boy like. it's cringe worthy
Agree with this.

Please copy and paste it at every topic Pep has been brought up as if he is our manager since last Xmas. Mind you, you nigh get busy.

When I'm pissed off with something fucking ridiculous that him or his weapon of an agent have come out with, I think its important to remember the role that Yaya has played in getting us exactly where we are right at this moment. We are already one of the best clubs in the world thanks to the amazing infrastructure the owners have put in place, and we are at a tipping point that could see us become one of the best teams in the world if the right manager comes along to put the last few pieces in place (here's hoping).

The fall off in performances as he gets older is obvious, but it would have been a hell of a lot more difficult to get to this point without a world class player like Yaya pulling the strings for the last 5 years and for that we should always remember him fondly. FA Cup semi against the rags especially because that really was a huge turning point for this club :)

On Yaya, he has been paid vasts amounts of money by MCFC to do his job, which he chooses to do occasionally. I'll neither cry or celebrate when he leaves the club.

Through his agent, and some of his non efforts, he has ensured he will not go down as the club legend his goals merit.

An ocassional genius who frequently frustrates.

People fawn over him because they associate him with being solely responsible for winning us trophies, he wasn't.

People lambast him for being lazy, he isn't.

He's just Yaya, another flawed genius.

Whoudda thought it!

Or in other words,

When Pep arrives in the summer there is no way i will be able to run around as much as he will demand so i'm off.

Am i right in thinking that it was Pep who was the Barcelona manager who agreed to sell Yaya to us?

Find me one person that claims Yaya is solely responsible.

People fawn over him because he's an exceptional talent and his contribution has played a big part in our success over the last 5 years.

What does it tell us that this surfaces at this point in the season. If Toure was a team player he'd be sending out a "we can do this", "let's prove we're the best team" message, a call to arms. Instead it's all about him.
He's a great player, but every time he opens his mouth - or his agent does - he sounds like a Class A git. I don't see how that doesn't impact on the dressing room.

Just read the thread and seen people kicking off with each other again over a matter of opinions, people throwing around "embarrassment" because you dare to give your own opinion that Yaya has somewhat soured his what would have been total legened status by him, or his agent, being a bit mouthy!

Personally I will always love him for the FA Cup in 2011, the league titles in 12 and 14 where his importance cannot be over-stated, Newcastle away in 12 and Palace away in 14 for example. but will I hold him in as high regard as Zaba or VK, no, because he couldn't keep his or his agents mouth shut and just play football. He could have carried out all this stuff behind the scenes without it ever becoming public.

But that is just my opinion, like everyone will have their own opinion and no one opinion is right or wrong, otherwise it is called a fact!

Spot on.

All about him eh?
