Villa or Wycombe?

Hi, I'm not a Man City fan myself (Cheltenham Town for my sins), but my 9 year old lad has fallen in love with the blue side of Manchester and I've not had a chance to take him yet.

Given this game is closer to me than any other likely (excluding West Brom) I'm considering taking him to his first game (to date he's only been to Cheltenham Town games, poor sod).

Is it likely that City will sell out for this, or will I be able to get a couple of tickets in the away end?

Criteria out this afternoon, tickets go on sale from Friday 22nd. Seems we have the whole of the North Stand and Upper Tier down the side.

If we've got both tiers behind the goal (the North Stand) - as suggested here "PLEASE NOTE: The Trinity Road Stand Upper Tier and the North Stand Upper and Lower Tiers will not be avaialable to home supporters and season card holders will not have the option to claim their own seat for this fixture", plus the normal away bit in the Deadly Doug Ellis stand then that must be close to 9000 tickets. Of course, the upper tier behind the goal might be closed like the upper tier of the Trinity Road Stand so we'll have to wait and see.

That's a big away allocation if that's the criteria for home supporters. The Trinity Stand upper is huge, so they must be closing it depending on ticket sales and allocating the whole of the North Stand to City. I noticed last night they only gave the North Stand upper to Wycombe, but read somewhere there were 5,000 Wycombe fans there last night?

Either way, this will be a top away day..

So that's the whole of the North Stand. If they're holding the Trinity upper back to see how sales go I think there's a good chance we'll get more tickets if City request another batch..

Saturday 3pm?
Ticket prices cheap as chips?

We'll sell 5900 no problem. They should just hand over the Trinity Upper to us as well and make it a near 11,000 allocation!

This will definitely sell out, possibly at high points too. You'd be best trying to get them from Villa I think.

This could very well end up being our biggest non-Wembley away following for many years.

We took around 12,000 to Notts County in '85 which will take some beating in this day and age.

Several beverages in Chesterfield waving the coach after coach through and then climbing the fences behind the goal until they collapsed, scrapping with the coppers (Not me - this time). Corralling their support on their own ground to one small paddock and roaring the boys on with anticipation of promotion being secured and then City played like the dog and duck. Great day though that.

Selling criteria out on the main site
Cup scheme members first 2 days
Then any season ticket holder

His uncle (on the wife's side) is a Villa fan, so this may be most likely as I'll be there as a neutral myself. Thanks for the response though.
