Just watching the sky pundits, Geoff Stelling just stated that charlie Nicholas was "watching a different game" when he said the stonewall penalty (re:stones foul on sterling) was a correct refs decision. Nicolas went the colour of an arsenal shirt. Hilarious, stitched up by stelling!

Stelling also said the ref was right at the time so he's still a prick

That can go down as an unconvincing excuse. Similar to Adrian Durham this week, when he had West Brom as one of his downs in the Three Ups, Three Downs feature. He slated them for playing with no recognised striker. When the West Brom fans tweeted him to say Anichebe had played, he cracked on he knew that already and blamed them for not understanding his irony, which wasn't mentioned earlier.

Some cheek on the feckin Hartlepool Hobbit ! Not sure how he's the neck to stitch up Nicholas considering he was praising the ref saying 'great decision' and East was 'man of the match' in the immediate aftermath iirc.

I think that was a case of Durham knowing exactly what he was saying, playing with anichebe is like playing without a striker, exactly what Durham was getting at.

Durham wasn't convincing for me. It sounded like a mistake that he arrogantly refused to admit, and tried to get out of it by saying Anechebe doesn't count as a striker.

Durham strikes me as a pompous know-all. The sort who if you met in the pub would talk over you as if he always knows better but if you stand your ground would say "well it doesn't really matter, does it?".

We are doing to him what Chelsea did to SWP - he is not a footballer! However, he is a threat when given the ball quickly and space to run into, out build up is too slow for him(and the rest of our attacker)
