He has been the cause of the problems, without a doubt. Firstly, as you say, his doomed to failure skirmish with the Coolmore boys enabled Uncle Malc to take the club over and simultaneously saddle it with debts that would hamper united for a decade. Secondly, his strategic failings in the later years of his tenure were egregiously negligent. Add into the cocktail the fact that the whole edifice was built around him, and the cult of his personality, then an absence of any discernible form of succession planning left the club where it is today: rudderless, leaderless and clueless, whilst gibbering to itself about the 'united way'. So yes, the seeds of this current pantomime were sowed many moons ago, but the cracks were effectively covered up by the commercial growth of the club and Ferguson's enduring ability to somehow defy the odds against an ever declining squad. Once he left, all one sees now was almost inevitable; and best of all, they simply don't have the personnel at the club, especially in relation to the Glazers or Woodward, to even begin to turn it round.
I like you and I like this post!
I particularly admire the daring use of the past perfect conjugation of to sow. Not many would have been so bold.

Apparently giggs took training this morning.

After another defeat the Rags have been allowed two days leave.

No wonder they are happy to lose if they get some extra leave for it....

Come in TT - your time is up!
I think he'll walk very soon. At least they can maintain the perfunctory title of the "United way" when it comes to relieving managers of their employment....NOT!
Giggs in charge until the seasons end.....what could go wrong? Have they got 40 points yet?

With the current state of their youth setup, these are the players they will have to promote to their first team in a few years, just so they can continue their tradition of having a home grown player in every squad since the nineteenth century.
Ergo the England players of the future.....

Heaven help us (not that I give a toss about England).

Not sure whether it's been mentioned but apparently Ewar Woowar has met with some of United's senior players while Van Gaal is over in Holland in "an attempt to identify which problems require attention".

How fucking hilarious is this? Ed hasn't got a clue about footballing matters and it just goes to show how much of a fiasco the post-Baconface era has become!

Wee Davy went because he wasn't Ferguson.
TT is going to go because he isn't Ferguson.
This could go on for some time , I hope.

And now Ferguson is lauded as a management guru and Nick Robinson, the Tory toady, witters on about Ferguson displaying the kind of leadership skills we lesser mortals crave in our politicians.

If I were Ferguson I'd keep my head down and stay away. Even the Stretford cattle are beginning to realise that the shit they're in is Ferguson's accumulated excrement that he's been crapping since 99, the year he fell in love with himself.

He certainly displays the level of honesty & hypocrisy we expect in our politicians

Too true...

The full title is "Leading over a Cliff"

What a pompous git.

just been reading the LVG out thread over on the caf, those deluded dicks are talking about Pochettino etc as if they could just click their fingers and any top manager will come running!!
sometimes i feel slightly sorry for decent reds , then i remember THAT banner ,so much disrespect they deserve everything theyre getting atm !
They seem to do that whenever they come across players who play well against them. The deluded pricks thought vardy and mahrez would walk over broken glass to join them when in fact it'd be a step down for them. That club is dying a slow death and I'm loving how their spoilt bastard fans are being shown as the glory hunting twats we all know they are. Here's to the next 10 years of misery for the gloating nobheads.

Just 10??

I'd almost forgotten what a detestable tw#t he was.
One or two reminders.
1) Tacitly endorsing 'that' banner
2) Refusing to speak to the Beeb
3) Getting his mates to withdraw their loan players
from Preston when his son was sacked
4) Screaming at refs/linesmen etc should
a decision not go his way
5) Breaking all the rules by kidnapping
Berbaflop on the last day of the transfer window
6) And finally..."NOT IN MY LIFETIME"

I'm sure there plenty of others but just thinking about the cnut makes me feel ill.
