Definitely yes! sleezy Martinez moans about how our second goal had an impact but the truth is their first goal should have never stood .
That goal changed everything .

A clear blatant foul and not one the ref can say he didn't see, nor the lino who was barely fifteen yards away. He just decided, like so many do, that the ball was lost and the opposition were steaming away. It's a clear kick at the back of Kun's leg! Straight through the back. I remember a World Cup where tackles from behind were officially to get a red card. The tackle was outlawed, but unfortunately it was never universally adopted by referees and as soon as it came in, it disappeared. And let's not forget the one on Navas - another blatant kick across the shins. McCarthy, I think, nowhere near the ball. Some footballers must be totally bemused at the fouls that some refs let go, whilst the perpetrator is laughing all the way to the next dirty tackle. The one on Navas should have been a yellow card.

The overwhelming majority of managers belong to the Arsene School of Visual Impairment and probably share the same optician, to varying degrees. At least Manuel agreed with somebody that if they thought the ball was out, then it must have been out. Martinez is one of those who comes the typical Scouse victim when they're on the shit end of something but ne'er a mention of any good fortune that comes their way. I'm still rolling on the floor laughing at his comments about Rigger East's 'maturity'!

A somewhat strange question to ask. All decisions in football (and most other sports) are based on what the officials opinions are. In this case, it can't have been deemed a foul or a free kick would have ensued. Similarly, the ball wasn't thought to have crossed the line or a goal kick would have been awarded. The only part of premier league football decision making that is currently based on fact, is whether the ball has crossed the line for a goal or not.
All managers, players and supporters need to stop flogging this referee are rubbish horse as it just highlights the double standards everyone connected to the game has. Every decision that goes your way is entirely understandable and everyone against is a terrible injustice or evidence of cheating. They're just mistakes and are a huge part of football. Always have been and hopefully always will be.

Reminded me of an incident three years ago against Liverpool, when Dzeko was clattered into from behind and we went on to lose a goal.
