Even the pen.....just the kind of cool head you need to be able to roll the decider into the net in a shoot out in the latter stages of the Champions League, that penalty said alot about this kid in my view.

I think Nasri’s omission from the CL squad is part of the master plan.

We have been up against the squad list limits for the last 2 years and we need to start moving players on. Nacho will eventually qualify as club trained so his inclusion now will help longer term. Moving Nasri on in the summer will also free up a space and Pep will have some plans that will need accommodating. I think Nasri has kicked his last CL ball for us. Will never forget the goal in Rome, great player for us but this is the beginning of the end for him in a blue shirt.

Well done Nacho for doing enough to justify the move up the pecking order.

I think Bony might have a knock or something but if as has been reported he contracted Malaria last summer then that doesn’t go away, you just manage it. I lived with a lad who had Malaria and he used to get lethargic and lack energy – it is a common symptom. I’m not sure what drugs are available and where they fit within anti-doping rules but I guess it makes professional football difficult and would possibly explain a lot. PS hope I’m wrong.
