Does Pellegrini Really Rate Sterling ?

I'm quite looking forward to seeing how an energetic Sterling looks coming on against tired Sunderland legs.
 
Since it is a 442 esque formation then one of the wingers will have to sit on the bench, in this case it is Sterling. It is just how it is. The squad is strong and full of viable options and apart from one or two players, no place is guaranteed between now and the end of the season.
 
Horses for courses. Utilise the squad you've got when you're in so many competitions.
 
It is a bit baffling how he's always the first to be dropped especially on the back of the last 2 games where he has contributed towards goals unlike Navas.
 
Stealing and navas on each wing with aguero up top is the best attacking option. Especially with silva playing in the middle. Not sure why Pelle never gives this a consistent try.
 
I think with the weekend game there was always going to be rotation it happens. Could you imagine if Sterling pulled up with a injury tonight there would be uproar over it. He will improve the more he plays we are playing 2 games a week so not everyone is going to be involved in the team or squad. Sterling under Pep be good to see as he works hard from his time at Liverpool so we will see a more improved Sterling this time next year.

I'd rather have what Sterling offers than Navas running down the line, stopping and passing it backwards for the 50th time that match or putting in a cross that hits the first man. Sterling has actually won us games Navas is just there to make a nuisance of himself.
