What do our ex first team players do for a living nowadays?

Tony Towers is an international man of leisure with a penchant for rough boozers.

I remember TT scoring a screamer against Academica de Coimbra. They played in black, threw flowers into the crowd when they came onto the pitch, then proceeded to kick the shit out of City for 90 minutes.

Of course I may be mis-remembering, it happens.

Jeff Whitley is a car salesman round the corner from me in Great Moor.

Didn't know about Ian Scott going to USA, last I heard he taught PE at Cheadle & Marple College.

And yes, pretty sure that's true about Michael Johnson owning the Charles George in Didsbury.

I can't think of a younger player who was more loved by the fans, at least in Manchester. Nacho kind of brings out some of that same love. But Johnson was supposed to be the next Colin Bell, wasn't he?

One of the games mysteries as to why he didn't move into the Bell, Lake pantheon of inside forwards. The drink followed the mystery rather than the drink being the root cause.

By the way, SWP is selling muffins on Conran St Market!

Last time I saw Barney Daniels he was a postman and doing football coaching in schools.

Last time I saw Barney Daniels was in 1976 in The Crescent pub in Salford after attending the Salford Junior Blues Christmas Party. We both got well hammered I believe. According to her indoors anyway.

Not so long ago I played five a side vs Tony Vaughan, he was a postman. Probably still is.

Michael Johnson does own a gaffe in Urmston & one on Burton Road. Burton road is a joint venture.

Ged Keegan was my mum's Insurance Man many years ago. He was quite chuffed that I recognised him!

Lee Bradbury went into motivational training.

The team bonding exercises involve hitting cows arses with Banjos.

Your right there mate, I recall that game, the press beforehand were telling us we were playing a bunch of students, yeah from the local martial arts school! They refused to change from their black kit, which was a very unusual colour back then, this resulted in the ref wearing a white top, and he refused to take part until his badge was sewn on if my memory serves me correctly! Game finished late and we missed the last bus !!
